For phtthp, my Pal and nettie:
This is wat i found from maths hub:
IQ Maths
Is the IQ Maths Program related to the school syllabus?
It is mostly related. However, the differences lie in our problem solving questions being of higher order involving larger values and the IQ questions of counting triangles and squares are out of school coverage.
Will my child be allowed to transfer from the P2 IQ class to P2 Competition class when he/she finds it too easy for him/her?
Yes, this is possible, provided there is vacancy in the competition class. Difference in fees, if any, would have to be topped up.
What is IQ Mathematics Program?
The IQ MathsProgram is an integrated program designed to instill interest in Mathematics. The program is formulated for K1-P2 students and not only consists of worksheets but also involves hands-on activites such as games, tangram models and origami, to make every lesson fun and enriching. -
agree. they improve…

My DS2 also sep baby but hes in 2008.. hee

So sept we will be busy celebrating their birthdays
Ya, agree with Castle House, they are still kids, should enjoy as much, but we hope to balance both (play & study) well so as to sufficiently prepare them for P1...
Did you saw there's an article quite a while ago, talking about only 2 P1 students out of 30 of them do not know hanyu pinyin, and the parents of these 2 kids were called upon by the teacher... I was like ??? Now it seems like the teachers' teaching life quite easy, since all the kids already know before they even reach that level... Reali what should we do...
If we are the minority, our kids suffer... If we are the majority, we have to spend more time, effort & $$$ .... -
Yes read abt it… am quite piss off with the system… making parents work hard at work and continue to work hard at home… no rest like that… lucky we have weekends… weekends is play time… no lessons/study/worksheet… heee… but when they go P1 i cant guarantee this anymore…
yes… i love Sept since DD was born in that month… heee -

Yes micollh, we may not see the improvement compared to yesterday or last week, but think back few months back and hopefully we get some consolation…hahaa…
I find that as they get older, they also get more defiant, really not easy to get them to sit down and ‘guai guai’ do work. My gals will ask for their fruits/yogurt/yakult before starting their work…but funnily they can also be quite disciplined in the sense that when I teach one, the other one will not touch her share of the fruits/yogurt/yakult until it’s her turn to do work…
BTW, how often do you mummies let them drink Yakult? I know it can trigger phlegm and my gals, especially the younger one is prone to cough due to allergy and sensitive airways. What about those multivit gummies? Good or just as bad as another piece of candy? -
