A quick informal survey...
When did you bring your kid for their first visit to the dentist? Which dentist does your kid visit?
Thanx! -
I brought mine to see the dentist at abt 2 yrs old. Went to School Dental Service at Outram Park.
Elder one was found to have a cavity during second visit. Luckily was detected early, and preventive steps taken to stop the decay.
So do go for dental checks early. Even if all is well, gd to get them used to visiting dentist. -
Took my son to see a Paediatric Dentist at SmileFocus, Camden Medical on Saturday. First time for him at 4.5 yrs old, and managed absolutely fine. Took only 20 minutes, excellent set of teeth, with no issues
, but walked off S$152 lighter :!: -
My daughter had her upper incisor chipped when she was 3 half. Brought her to dentist at compass point. Dentist not keen to patch the chipped tooth and claimed its alright. Decay set in real fast. By 5 years old, half the tooth already gone. I decided to bring her to smileworks at paragon, but it was too late. Dr Quek was really good at children, had the tooth patched for cosmetic reason since it was not loose at all. We all knew it will not last for long since half the tooth is gone… 3 months later, we decided to extract the tooth as inflammation was expected and will affect the surrounding teeth. One year after the extraction we still don’t see new tooth growing…worry. By the way, my daughter was different. She had her first tooth nearly 20 months, and first tooth were the two upper pre-molars. And the incisors were the last to come out. She had only 3 lower incisors instead of 4. Another here had same experience, please share with me. As i am concern why one tooth is missing! Thanks.

Goodness, what a traumatic experience for you! I paid only $9 for consultation at the School Dental Centre. I wish I could go there for my own dental check-up too.
