      Twins:

I love the fact that Tao Nan has a wide variety of CCAs. Always believe this is a motivating factor for kids, especially Boys!!

My firend's daughter is in Sailing and loving it! So committed to it that she spends at least 2 to 3 times a week just on sailing, on top of her BICEP classes, music and ballet. Then again, she's any mother's dream....committed, mature and disciplined
      wow !

I wonder what is the secret to groom up such a child? nature or nurture? :?[/quote]For her, I think it's 80% nature, 20% nurture. Always tell my girlfriend she's extremely blessed and her daughter is a \"Miss Exception\", so cannot use her as benchmark when checking on Tao Nan standards, cos everything seems like a breeze to her...haha, so I check with other parents' kids too....not that I know many of them to begin with....

About the booklist, given that the orientation is in late Nov, would the bookshops run out of text to sell? :? Any idea where to get booklist in advance? Maybe Tankee can help? 🙏

I do not think 2009 booklist is out.

The 2008 booklist is available for download at http://www.taonan.moe.edu.sg/Files/2008bklist.pdf

                    Does anyone know

                    1. How TNS allocate the primary 1 students into different classes? is it by alphabetical order of surname?

                    2. Price of food sold at TNS canteen?

Heard from a friend that a bowl of noodle cost $0.70 so the kids need about $2 for pocket money! Also, the class are separated based on month of birth, that is why they have 12 classes.

I wonder typically how much parents give to their primary school children.

Whoa...so that's assuming that the # of pupils per month is roughly equal? Very interesting.
