My opinion is, if the school that you are going to register is likely to go for balloting, maybe you shouldn’t bring your boy there. Not that it is chaotic or anything, but rather he would be disappointed if he likes the school and in the end could not get in.

I will be bringing my dd down to the school for registration tomorrow. I think its a good chance to explain to her that this is the new environment she can expect next year and give her some pre orientation preparation. In fact i've been psychoing her since beginning this year that she's gonna leave her kindy for a new environment called primary school next year. So she was rather happy just now when i told her we are going to the primary school tomorrow. I'm going in the afternoon, so hopefully its less crowded by then.

you may bring yr child down tomorrow if is just for registration, show child around the premises. But on balloting day itself, try not to bring child down. Because:-

            a) you yourself will be very anxious - bec you not sure if your kid can get in or not.

            b) if your child likes the school very much, then child keep asking you enthusastically, 'Mommy, did i get in or not ? Has the school called out my name ? in or not ? why so long still haven’t called my name ? ’

if your child gets balloted - then fine, Congratuations to both of you!

if not - then child gets disappointed, wondering why his name not called. (there is no necessity to subject your child to unnecessary disappointment. If your child gets balloted, there’ll be plenty of opportunities later to show your kid around the school.)

I assume you are registering at KCPPS, from your earlier posts. Correct me if i am wrong.
It won't be chaotic. Infact, the registration process is pretty fast. If you are going down on Thur and Fri, the school is having e-learning day on those 2 days. So you won't see many students there. Good time to walk around a bit. 😄

AT updates its website at 11am, 3pm and 5pm.

There are already 31 within 1km registered for 20 places and it is only the morning of the first day :scared:

I am still monitoring. But chances that gg for AT are low. I am not a great risk taker. One time enough for me
