Not ended yet and tomorrow is the last day. As at end of day 2, JWPS has 42 seats left but 36 who stay > 1 km of FPS will withdraw from FPS and may end up in JWPS. FPS is confirmed balloting at within 1 km.
my interpretation is, so this 36 seats will join JWPS and some more will register JWPS at day 3, so end up balloting required for JWPS<=1km?engp9337:
JWPS has 42 seats left. FPS will have 36 applicants withdrawing tomorrow and maybe ending up in JWPS. JWPS is likely to ballot too.
Why jwps has seats left still need to go thru balloting? I am lost I think . Are the registration for p2c done? -

hi engp9337,
JWPS out for me. A plan B for me should be a safe one. Should not subject me to more balloting. So I'll go for Frontier, ballot, if fail then plan B kicks in for Phase2cs, which is CPS.
Till now, I still don't know much about JWPS. Not much sharing here on the forum and none that I know study there. Not even my immediate neighbors... so I rather go for schools I know more about. :)
I thought registration was over so i saw some forumer said there are still seats left for JWPS. So CPS will for sure have seats left after phase 2c? But the chance/ rate for Frontier should be 80%~90% right, still ok compared to west grove, and rulang, right? -

@kabalevsky - like you, I was not expecting Froniter to be so \"hot\". I called up to check the stats, and confirm there is balleting for P2C for those within 1km.
:scared: seriously so many P1s in that area!! :faint: -

Yalor... hmm.. the water in that area very 'fertile'
I can't believe there are so many living within 1km that have 6yo kids!! argh! -

I have just called west grove. They have 195 applied within 1 km. Frontier has 251 applied within 1 km. My goodness!!!!!
Amazing hor.. no wonder Frontier had to built otherwise really going to be tough for WG to absorb all 446 people :faint: -

I would have thought just like you..Me thinks should avoid the ballot and go for CPS. Dh feels since CPS has space, we should just try FPS first, if fail then go CPS at Phase 2CS.
I am worried cannot get into both! DH says must be risk taker.
We'll see tonight's figures then discuss again. These few nights many rounds of discussion!
Your DH super supportive of new environment and definitely a risk taker

Yalor..Never thought will be faced with such problems cos always thought new schools not so popular.
Is this creating history in Singapore?? New school, not even completed its buildings, and already balloting within 1km!!?!?!
I have my speculations.. but maybe I should just keep it to myself..

I remember 2005 kids are the first batch to get baby bonus. Not too sure if this has contributed to the situation. There is another new school building at Jurong West Street 71, just opposite WG. Hope the new school will accept enrollments in 2 years.
