The latest one on self created speech from ID Unit.
Reference materials on political speeches, influx of foreigners etc.
Looks really very \"cheem\" for a P4 kid to me.

      What is 'ID'?
Is it the one about being votting in as member of legislative council?

      Yup.
Apparently DS1 did it last year during P5 but now it became P4 work.
We just let DS1 do it him self them but now looks like a lot of parental help is needed for DS2.

What do the kids need to study for the last SS common test / prelims on 16/8/11 ?

It carries 40% of the final SS marks right ?
And 70% minimum required to continue SS status in secondary school.

According to DS1 the last topics they covered is on colonisation. So will they be tested on this or all the SS syllabus ?

I find this quite a hassle right in between the PSLE orals plus DSA applications.

tt day I read through the list given by his school regarding the topics tt will be tested for ss prelim. Apparently, the topics are from SS text bks 6A and 6B. They should have some notes given by the ss teacher as well...

No lah the second one is in twinning class at NHPS. If got two really don't know how to cope this year.
The twinning kids do the same for SS, HCL, projects etc as the GE kids but not English/Science/Math.

I agreed, it is really a hassel to have it so near to the PSLE Oral. Was wondering why not schedule after PSLE Oral, together with the rest of the prelim wriiten paper.

I hope the GE Branch will make the change next year so that it will benefit the subsequent GEP students.

DS's SS teacher gave them a list of topics to study for the SS prelims -:
                    i) Our Education
                    ii) Our Industries
                    iii) Our Transport
                    iv) Future Problem Solving
                    v) SEA

Check with your DS, he should have a list too with details on the areas to be tested on. 2 more weeks to go and looks like a lot to cover.
