Public Transporation In Singapore
-
limlim:
That i have to agree, because most companies these days are too focussed on making profit. Our transportation system has limits and some people want to push it beyond the limits, so this is why i get agitated. But sometimes i do wonder why the PTO's can't do it. In fact LTA has announced upgrading of signals and new trains have been put on the line (5 out of 22 trains. 11 trains are in singapore and the remaining 11 are in Qingdao)snowman.697:
Excuse me, but is this a parody of the Facebook page (buses[in]gapore!)? Because the name sounds familiar. I know the person who manages the page. Why can't you think of something else? Oh and overcrowded trains are mostly lta's problem because they can't plan a transportsystem.
Q: Did the 2 transport companies \"plan\" and ask LTA to approve? Or sit there collect money and let LTA do everything? If they actually got plans, why never publicize? If plan so good, go and write to ST lah.. complaint about LTA not approving their \"masterpiece plan\"..
Q: They know how to apply for fare increase, don't know how to apply for necessary purchases/routes/plans approval? -
Oh…OK…

Here's the latest news by SMRT... Improvements are done by 2014!

It was in the news since Wednesday. Anyway, we can’t really blame SMRT, since it’s lta that let the LRT run on 40-year old technology.

They should nationalise public transport, something liike HDB
And hold transport minister directly responsible for service quality. No need to make profit, just break even -

If you don’t make profit you can never buy new buses -.-

I want to add a comment about the GOOD thing that LTA (I guess) have done…
That is… BUS LANE!!!
wonderful…
minimum cost but improves public transport service considerably…
And, take public mass transport = better for the environment then private transport… -
I hate that it’s always so crowded!! Especially during peak hours!
-
And may I ask you in which developed cities are public transport not crowded during peak hours?
