Hey, did anyone notice ? we have one of the longest page (200 pages) other than Jurong West school...does it means we are more kiasu & stressed up than any mummies

I don't think we're more stressed but that most of the popular schools are here in Bt Timah. -
The challenge is that there is not enough teachers, eg my dd at MGS, has 40 students to 1 class, and not enough teachers. I spoke to some ex-teachers, and they felt the policies and bureacracy these days in schools and all this measurements/ranking leads to unnecessary overhead instead of focusing on the kids development and potential. Every child is unique, and has potential to excel in their passion.

The HOD explained how they teach Science classes in BTPS... their difference is they teach thru' own exploration and practical experiment done by the students instead of usual theory teaching. Could be the reason that explains their good result.can share with us what was exciting at BTPS Open house for Science ?

There were some showcases of those present students in BTPS which were impressive works me and DH felt. She also shared that she has been invited for a Science talk presenting the primary education at Science Centre on 5 Aug. -

Hi Scary, Willow,Scary,
i see...i hope its not a case tt i gave the wrong contact no. to school due to nervousness....
Will go with my DH...i dun want to go thr this myself....we will probably go early ,'chop' seats & sit there like obedient students as early as 9.30 am...no kids...think too dramatic for them to see their mummy go crazy or faint if we dun get in .....hope they have a medical team standby for such emergencies :rotflmao:
Me and DH also not bringing DH too cos not confirmed yet so dun wanna stress her like us! I did ask about her preference and she told me she's ok with either one of the sch (PHPPS or BTPS). This is for sure an assuring reply for me at least! :boogie:
So we jus hv to leave it to fate and cross our fingers! :xedfingers: We've done our best and I'm sure our children appreciates our hardwork/effort. :hugs:
Let's hope for the best and good luck to 3 of us on balloting day!

HI Parents,
All the best for balloting this coming Friday.
Be it Pei Hwa or Bukit Timah, I believe both schools have advantages.
If your child goes to BTPS, he/she will enjoy morning session from P1 which is actually more time for rest in the afternoon.
Hi Cheerie,
I know you are really stressed...judging from what you mentioned earlier.
