      Good Day Everyone!

Just happen to look at the school calendar for this term - :yikes: it will be week 5 tmr lioa; so fast! :nailbite:

Happen to see that it will be P6 EL Prelim oral and guess all the P6s will be very kan cheong too! πŸ˜“

It will be in 4 weeks' time that DD1 will be having CA2 and she is sulking over it! Why? Because her friends in the tuition centre share that their school does not have CA2 for P3s! πŸ•Ί Told her to take it as a revision for this term's work and just do her best! Guess her reply? \"Aiyoh, Mummy, I very busy with NDP Rehearsals, very tired leh!\" :faint:

      Kids being kids! πŸ˜† :rotflmao:

          Lynnette:
A big Halo to all. I've just registered my GG @ CPS (P1 nxt yr). However, i know too little about the schl. Hope to get some tips from you all πŸ™‚

          hi lynnette!

:welcome:! my ds1 is in P2. he is having a whale of a time in CPS, and he enjoys going to school a lot. for that, i am very happy and satisfied with this choice. πŸ™‚ I don't always know what happens in school, mostly just from his account, but so far he's been enjoying himself, so that should be good!

Hi Lynnette, A Big :welcome: to join KSP forum! :grphug:

My DD2 is going to P1 next year too; maybe both of our children will end up as classmates! :rahrah:

My DD1 is P3 this year with CPS πŸ˜„

Where you residing? Does your GG need to take the school bus in future?

Im stying @ Bllk 266, not far frm CPS, however need to look for schl bus, hopefully GG dunnid to wake up too earli for the bus (normally she will wake abt 715am).
Btw, I heard frm my colleague tt there's no remedial lesson for P1 n 2, right? :xedfingers:
Oya, i heard tt the P is just posted there, really?
Last Fri went to reg there, n that's my very 1st time to step in the schl, like the schl environment so muchhhh. It's really a gd place for learning.

i'm further from CPS than you. ds1 took school bus last yr, he got on about 7.15am. he'll reach school at about 7.35-40am though. slightly earlier than flag raising, and he will do silent reading or chat with his friends.

yes, the P is new. she started this Jan. I haven't met her personally. i think expatmom and LKVM has. champs?

cos i missed the PTM in Mar where she gave a speech. and LKVM also attended 1st day of school when P was there.

but she regularly writes letters to parents which I read faithfully. πŸ™‚ so far so good.

with regards to you liking the sch env, :hi5:! i am happy the school allows the kids to run about and play during recess time. a friend of mine said her son's school didn't allow them to play soccer during recess and her son was so sad.

she was quite upset because she said boys are usually very active and for them to sit in class for such long hours, yet during recess they still don't allow them to play or run around, it is very hard for her boy to have fun or enjoy school this way.

my ds1 says he will eat his food quickly and join his friends. last yr they used to play around the eco garden. but recently, maybe because of Sg joining the Msia cup again, there has been soccer fever. he and his friends play soccer every recess now.

even when they don't have a ball, he said someone will make a paper ball or get plastic ball or something else to kick around. πŸ¦†

i don't know if this means they're really noisy in school or cause more trouble, but it makes him look forward to school each day and he makes many more friends outside of his class this way. so i think it's great and hope the school won't suddenly change policy!

hi lynnette! :welcome:! Maybe your GG will be the same class as mine. πŸ™‚

kabalevsky, yes, confirm in...haha...orientation will be on 12 Nov @ 9am. Then they will let us know whether they will set up BASC or not.

I went to the YMCA BASC @ Blk 666A, i think we will more or less settle the kid there if CPS wont start their own BASC. Like the bright and clean environment. Kids can take nap (a super plus point for us!) and not so stress with additional assessment books (this is terrible for some BASC which claim to be academic focus), i just want my kid have a good rest and fun time after school. πŸ™‚

wow sno_opy, i like your attitude! i think you will like being in this thread cos we are like minded people here.

i hope CPS can set up a good BASC though, cos we've heard quite a few express that they need this service and having it in sch is much more convenient esp since CPS location is a bit way in...

great to have you here, we will have livelier discussions here then! πŸ™‚
