Eat potato at P1? Hmm that's quite reassuring. Btw did you say that your dd eats english storybooks for a living and later on her chinese became her best scoring subject? Hmm, that's not very reassuring (for my ds since it shows that your dd is super intelligent) ..... πŸ˜“
Aiya, her chinese being the best scoring subject only happened once...She must have tikam correctly for most ans. πŸ˜‚ See how much confident I have in her chinese std. :rotflmao: She entered P1 not knowing how to write her chinese names you know. And her names are not that many strokes. My bad lah...nvr expose her even. Yours have a great headstart, what are you worrying?? 🀷

Mine eats potatoes and lives in different EL storybooks, she can forgo potatoes once her mommy forgets to dig her out from books. πŸ˜‚

When are you leaving? Should be soon rite? Would you consider surrendering your dd2's place in PH for Scary so that we 100% can have BBQ? We're starving, pleaseee. :rotflmao:
You arh, can't wait for me to be gone and not coming bk? :pokeeye: :pokeeye: :spank: :spank: I was still innocently believing tat u like me so much to be yr future in-laws. :skeptical: :skeptical:

Scary's child already got a place, its the best place. In His plan, in His time. :imanangel: πŸ˜‰

So many committed and dedicated mummies and daddies in this thread. No wonder it's the most popular in the forum!

I felt that the first two foundation years in PH must be built on very solid ground so that when we reached the P3/4s, we'll not be pulled down too far. There is still a cushion to fall back on. Same thing, once we overcame the shock at SA1 (esp for CL) and things are smoother/better by end of P3/P4, it'll be easier to cope at P5/P6. This, however, requires a lot of hardwork and determination for both parents and kids. Kids will mature over time (provided that they don't give up halfway), so they'll also learn to cope better.
PH thread is popular because the mummies and DADDIES are so dedicated.

P1/2 foundation must not be ignored regardless of the school kids are in...or else parents get first heart attack at P3 after CA1. Lots of consistent hard work required but remember not to get burnt out. It's very painful recovering from it  based on personal experience.

Not scaring parents who wish to register their kids in PH...please do so with your eyes WIDE open.

Also, the NMOS training qns are not exactly similiar to the ones from the MO books. Jennifer, can you advise on this? Thx.

So far, the training seems to be teaching in advance basic technique. Not seeing real MO qns yet.

Let me report at year end πŸ˜„

                  Is MO Maths Olympiad?

The school only starts training at P5? Not lower primary? Isn't it kind of late to train only at P5? I bought one book for DS thinking that school starts training at lower primary.
In the recent IMC (International Maths Competition), over international top scorer is China. Singapore teams top scorer is Raffles Institution.

I believe China starts MO training at a very young age, hv seen many MO CL version training books at Bras Basah. As for RI, must be the GEP stuff.

                    Thanks!!

During 2B balloting, my deacon and his wife had a huge surprise. They went in with faith and their child's name was not called out until the very last slot. The # that rep their child just dropped out from the ball even before principal turned it. They said, \"If God has that place for you, even when there is only 1 (left), it will be yours.\"

Oh yes, I agree fully. When my dd's name was pulled out second last then, somehow, amidst that jubilant moment, I still managed to listen out to the last name being called. I was thinking of naming my no.3 THAT name for a long time but couldn't get an answer from above, so when that name was called, I believe God answered my prayer there and then in His own special way. This girl, whose name was called last, was in my dd's class since P2. PH is blessed with her in the school.

All the best to those balloting. Everything has already been in the Plan. :rahrah: :rahrah:
