All About Parent Volunteers (PV)

Why Singaporean kids need to \"fight\" to get into places with PRs in Phrase 3? Think should give priority to Singaporean kids. :faint: Why would parents pay school fees to get into schools not their choice for P1? Maybe should sponsor if cannot get into school of their choice :? :stompfeet:
Is it still \"worthy\" & \"must-do\" PV??
if we KIASU parents really want to hv the choice sch for your child even though there is fierce competition from all phases............. -

I did not enlist myself for the PV, i got not clan, church and RC or anything.
We went for P2C ballotinge.with the ratio about 1:3.
thanks god, and my late parents, my dear dearโ s number was called at the last 3rd number.
the stress was unbearable, parents NEED to try to prevent themselves from undergoing the balloting, by starting to plan early for the PV or getting a clan. -
the truth is, whether it is in Singapore or any other city around the world, popular school will always be popular and supply will always be insufficient to meet demand.
parents eyeing on popular school need to plan and strategise, and those with the legitimate means will always have an advantage
live and let live, and live within your means. -
the bottom line is that parental love, support and encouragement plays a more important part than a good school.

Hi, iโm a newbie to PV. Iโm considering to apply for PV at Nan Hua (staying<1km) or Henry Park (staying1-2km) next year since DD will be turning 4years old then.
Can i find out whether only one parent can do PV or can both parents do PV jointly to clock up the 40 hrs?
Many thanks! -

From what I gathered from the other posts, it depends on the school. Some schools allow both parents to clock up the hours jointly and and some done.Hi, i'm a newbie to PV. Am considering the same path at the same school, though I don't have the advantage of proximity as you.
