It's expensive if the $200 is just for paying the concert tickets.

The CCC which my kids are attending, they have already charged me $50 per costume per kid for this year's concert. It's 30% increase in costume fee compared to last year!!! Of cos they saying that they are trying their best to reduce cost.. blah blah blah...

Goodness! Now I wonder this year how much they are going to charge me for the concert tickets. ๐Ÿ˜ It used to be abt $19.

Plus concert photos, DVDs... every year I spend about $300 for their annual concert. This year definitely is going to be more .... ๐Ÿ˜ข

$200 for 4 tickets is still not the most expensive I heard. My sister in law ever told me her sonโ€™s concert ticket cost her $80 per ticket and it was held in Raffles hotel.

Guess I am not the the only one who felt the charges for the CC concert is expensive...

For last year, my gals CC only involve the N2 to K2 kids.

We had to pay abt $30 for the costume, which i happen to overhear that one of the teacher sewed it herself  . DD1 was a flower so had a brown 1pc suit( not sure of exact name but basically 1pc thingy that they wear from shoulder to the ankle) and a headgear which looked like sunflower. The $30 was for the rental of the 1pc suit from the sch ( which means cannot bring home :!: ). The headgear which was to made from cardboards was a souvenior to bring home.

If the school had rented the costume, i guess, it was fair to charge us. but since it was made, $30 is really too much! ๐Ÿ˜›

The school organised a tentage to be built on the outdoor play area where the concert was to be held. Despite it being held in school, the concert tickets were not cheap either as the tentage apparently cost quite a sum too. We had to pay abt $50 per parent, which works out to be $100 for both parents, to attend the concert + buffet dinner. Since DD1 was only in N2, we didnt invite any of the grandies... any add on ticket was $20.

So all in we spent abt $130 :moneyflies: for the concert which was held in school. Although we quite enjoyed the concert ๐Ÿ˜Ž , i felt the cost was a bit too much.

After the concert, we were supposed to get a copy of the VCD by one of the parents who volunteered to shoot the entire program. However, until today, we hv not seen any photos / any VCD. ๐Ÿ˜

Graduation photos is another \"process\" altogether. Each grad kid pays $25 for a 5R pict with frame, 1 class pict + 4 passport pict. Non-grad class pays $8 for a class pict. Is this the average ?

All these are based on last years charges.. .wonder how much they are going to kotok :xedfingers: us this year??

We paid about $38 per ticket and were limited to 4 tickets per child for a 2-hour concert held at the DBS Arts Centre. Price also included a tea reception at the end of the concert. Apart from that, only need to provide a brown T-shirt and a pair of black slacks. The best thing that I liked about the concert was that no makeup required and all props and costumes required were handmade by the students themselves, together with their teachers during curriculum time. Another impressive thing was that all rehearsals and practices were again held during curriculum time and the performance was soโ€ฆ pro!

We paid about $40 per ticket. The concert is a yearly affair for N2 to K2 students. Costume fee depends on the performance, N2 about $20 and K2 $100 or so. Price does not include photos and DVDs. Really ex, but my child loves to perform, and will be really upset if we do not attend. ๐Ÿ˜ž

My LV boy will be graduating soon.

                  - $100 costume (worn only once for graduation)
                  - $30 ticket per parent, total $60 (no complimentary ticket)
                  - $30 full ticket for child above 3 years old
                  - $25 Dvd
                  - $215 for full package

Do K2 children really need to spend so much for graduation?
Granted, it is a milestone for our children, and we should celebrate, but modestly.

We highlighted to management that money which we can saved, can buy kiddos more nutrition and enrichment products !!

For parents whose child will be participating in K2 concerts soon, better check the market $rate

wow, thot mine is expensive as i paid $176. But she's performing 4 items + delivering graduation speech + christmas present + DVD + graduation photo package, free admission to view concert, so still worth, right? anyway, is only once a lifetime, so still got to pay though heartache! :moneyflies:
