Thanks mummies for sharing. Do you know of any good basc that has transport from Acsj other than the one at cairnhill cc run by the kiddie Winkie place?

There is one in coronation called out of the box. The other one is NYPS called Learning Bliss.

I put my DS in Kiddie Winkie after much consideration.

They use past year paper for assessment. However you have to pay for the paper.

Normally they will check with the kids if they have homework from school.

Visit the place and find out more about them.

Just dropping by to say hi :salute: my son will also be starting P1 next year. While I'm certainly looking forward to joining the Acsian family again, I pray my son will enjoy schooling at ACJS.

PS: This is an amazing thread in an amazing site. Thx to the founder of KSP.

Welcome JJLM, windie, rivevae and all those who will be joining ACJS next year!

DS1 is in P1 and we are enjoying it. So far school has been relaxed, giving the boys lots of time to play and do non-academic stuff. DS1 has a great bunch of teachers too. His form teacher, especially, has been very nurturing. But she’s no push over. I salute anyone who can handle 30 boys in an enclosed space!

Not too sure of the number of students and teachers there. My best guess maybe is 2-3 for 30-40 students. Current primary 1, I think there about 6-7 ACSJ boys (pri 1) there including my DS which is one of the reason I chosen Kiddie Winkie.

The minus point of Kiddie Winkie is probably the small area and the shower/toilet on different floor. I have this same concern as my kid used to be from childcare where environment is quite different. Nonetheless, from cost and charges perspective, I can understand why a BASC has to be this setup.

There is a good thing about them is that they have some sports activities on every Wednesday. The kids like it very much and I always try to courage to have more of such acitivities than everyday on assessment and homework.

Bring your DS to them, Out of the Box(around Coronation Road) and Learning Bliss(Beside/in NYPS). I hear in ACSP, there is also a BSAC (I think run by YMCA) which you could also look at. The other could I remember now is near SJI (think around 74 Thomson Road called Vedic Method Education).

I have also gone to Kiddiewinkie student care for 2 times but never had chance to observe e students there as the children only back about 2 pm. Nevertheless I have registered son there for next year. Place is a bit cramp but I find the lady teacher Adeline is alright from our conversation

Jav, wow is your son currently studying in Kiddiewinkie childcare? Mine is there.

Anyway, I have checked with the childcare administrator they say they will give me the registration form soon for my DS.

You are really fast in your action!
