Another question : hv yr MIL helped u during yr confinement?

MIL did try to help as DS is the first grandson. But I got my mom to be my confinement lady, so MIL just guest appearance. She did get me lotsa pork & chicken :faint: but endup pissed me off with her comments. Not a meat person, I dun consume a lot and she would claimed who & who ate 1 whole chicken in a day during confinement while I would take >3 days.
And during DS's feeding time, MIL would hissed that I'm starving the grandson & tried to stop me from breastfeed as I dun have enough nutrition :mad:

Haiz.. as for me, to cut long story short - my 1st confinement was a great havoc wif my \"so-called\" helpful MIL but ended wif no knowledge of how to do for me. Juz one of the many happenings is that i drank plain water for abt 1-2 weeks until 1 kind relative of mine told me that i shld be drinking longan and red dates tea.

As for gifts, i cant even recall if there's or do u consider buying food as gift.

My DD was always taken care by me especially when she is sick coz there's a occasion where she fell sick even longer when my MIL is caring for her :frustrated: and another time is that she even fainted in her hse!!

My MIL always MIA when i am sick (did not bother to offer to come over to help) and my hubby has to take leave to care for my kids.... really feel so sad at times!! :sad:

Touchwood...If I'm sick, I rather go to my mum's place with the kids...take 2 panadol and sleep. If the kids are not well, hubby & I will take turns to wake up to monitor them. If THE MIL is one type I rather not have around when I'm happy and well, will I want her around when kids are sick ??
I'm a doctor to my kids and hubby at home...don't need her around to give me crap.

When I’m sick, I only want my mommy…no MIL pls cos’ with all her yelling, I won’t get to rest at all.
Mommy cannot help, DH will have to take leave and help.

Ha ha…think I didn’t read the questions properly…
So if the kids are sick, either myself or DH will do…next in line, my mommy, last resort, MIL.
