BASC is run by the group I had mentioned. I suppose you already know the mummies i/c πŸ˜„

 I didn't know that. Guess I've to rethink my volunteering.

Oh please dont... in fact, a common opinion is that this group is 'less political' than the one requiring payment 😜
All schools have this program- School Family Life Education, i think thats SFE. They can tap into MCYS funds for schools to engage professionals to conduct workshops and talks.

You can just continue with your current PV roles and not be part of this at all! AFter all, your time at BASC is benefitting the children directly.

Oh yes, my sons' kindy is part of this programme too and they conduct workshops and there was once they tricked me to attend this parenting talk. I kept questioning the Speaker on what she was saying til she couldn't support the points she was raising. It was hilarious.

But have to say I was :stompfeet:   that I had to waste time and sit through this talk.

I hate people telling me HOW TO parent my own children.

Sorry, :offtopic: liao, just ranting. :imsorry:

Will definitely help BASC if they need more help but am sure they have other \"victims\" next year anyway, parents who want to PV for the P2B 2013 cohort. πŸ˜†

any idea how they assign kids into various P1 classes ?

is it based on order of registration on registration day, or in random order?

at P1, is there such a thing as best 2 or 3 classes ?
Not sure how classes are grouped for P1. Usually same class for P1 and P2. Streaming based on P2 results, starts from P3.

                    info for P1…

in Pri 1-2, all kids are given same, equal opportunites to shine.

at end of P2, they take a common SA2. This was highest weightage for class allocation into P3.

That’s when the clever, average and academically challenged kids are separated. You can see the difference then.
