2012 P1 Registration Exercise for 2013 In-Take
-
Was talking to my dd’s teacher yesterday about each school is suitable for her and the teacher commented that my dd will probably be happier at Ngee Ann rather than TNS though she probably can cope with both schools. It sets me thinking when she mentioned that whether I want my dd to be ‘a big fish in a small pond’ or ‘a small fish in a big pond’. While both theory is right on it’s own, I guess at the end, it comes down to how much we understand our kids despite we, as a parent, will have to continue to struggle with the dilemma of which school to go. Just to ‘vent’.

Hi citigirl, nice to hear from you again...... :hi5:
Hi dorisp, yes, good to be back amongst friends! :celebrate:
Are you geared up for next year? -
citygirl:
you may like to measure the distance from the school in 2B and assess your chances. best to secure a school in that phase.Been away from the forum for some time and was pleasantly surprised to see that this thread has started! :rahrah:
Hello fellow Mummies and Daddies, Comrades and Competitors! My DS1 registers next year too! Can't wait.... to get it over and done with!
My options:
Phase 2B - any Catholic boys school
Phase 2C - within 1km of Kuo Chuan, St. Gabriel's; 1-2km (grandparents) of Nanyang, ACPS, ACJS, River Valley
Strategy:
Daily prayer
Game plan:
Changes everyday
Best of luck everyone!
1-2km for NY, ACPS, ACJS- may not be workable. -
citygirl:
Yes am doing all I can but after looking at this year's situation, am a little worried and hope there are no major surprises next year........

i am expecting some 'surprises' in the regulating of the number of student intakes among some schools next year in Bukit Batok area cos Dazhong will by then be back at its permanent premises with a brand new building.
