Also, how come it's he MAY be enrolling in alma mater? 2A over already then 2B right? This report quite the confusing.

guess they enrolled 2A@HPPS first then see whether 2B@NYPS can get or not.... if 2B@NYPS is successful then they will withdraw from HPPS.... if unsuccessful they just keep the place at HPPS..... it is a no lose situation for them.....

this is not allow. they would have to withdraw first before applying. the system would not allow them to register.

              KSP:
...........One parent told Zaobao that Zoe \"lost out\" on the opportunity, because she \"did not do enough homework\" in ensuring that her home was within a one- or two-kilometre radius of the school.

This would give her son another chance of getting a place at the school by being eligible for the balloting process, if there are still vacancies.

She said actress lives at Holland Road, which is more than two kilometres away from the Bukit Timah school......

It pays to do homework. better still join KSP.com 😉

anyway, why Nanyang never advise her? so strange :?

i think even if she moved to within 1km, she will not take the risk to withdraw from HPPS and go for the balloting (btw NYPS balloting is within 1km for this year).... at least i won't and i believe most parents will not too..... what if she ballot out??? anyway HPPS is a top branded school too.....

unless there is no balloting for NYPS in 2B then she can safely withdraw from HPPS then enrol at NYPS.....

Maybe her husband is shhk? A lot of hokkien here also joined shhk for the sake of getting recommendation letter to phase 2b… Having said that, the good chance still goes to phase 2b within 1km.

There is nothing called "fair" in this system. It is fair to you but could be unfair to others. Sad to say, all the schools never guarantee a place for your child even you are a PV due to the quota remaining to be splitter among phase 2b and 2c. But again, if you say all eligible phase 2b should have a place, irregardless of distance, then it becomes unfair to the child who stayed within 1km.

I feel that if the school have the "clan" relationship, then they may want to consider do away with PV. Or at least have a feel, before PV actually doing the work, to inform parents how many are clans for the year for that school. Shhk should be able to gauge that, though not 100%.

maybe her husb doesn’t mind Henry Park. He grew up there, had feelings for his alma mater.

maybe ZT influenced by close buddy TCS colleague, whose child inside NYPS …
