Hi parents,
How did yr gals fare in the recent mock exam? I dun know whether I shd say my gal deteriorate or not, but last yr she got 3 B1 & 1 B2. I Tis yr she oni got 2B and 2C. She said it is very tough and some of her classmates even fail. Is that a valid excuse? Or is my expectation too high? -

Hi swpf, congratulations to u! Within 1-2 km of phase 2CS needs to ballot right since it was oversubscribed? Luckily u are with 1 km
We registered our DD in phase 2C cos we are within 1-2 km n do not want to take the risk of balloting again...
FYI, orientation will be on 16 nov @ 2 pm...it's on a Wednesday.. -
Thanks HappyAvon.
Yes 1-2km need to ballot. Luckily we are within 1km.
Thanks for the info. I saw 2010 orientation. Students wore their uniform on that day. Do u know when we need to our purchase their uniform? Confirmed with the admin that there will be an assessment for the students, any idea what will be tested?
It seems like there are not many posts on this school. -
swpf:
Yup...not many parents from SACPS yakking in KSP forum...I dunno y too? How did u know abt 2010 orientation n we were not informed to buy the uniform for orientation day. Did the admin really confirm that the girls will be assessed  If this is happening, it will be done on the orientation day n I think children will be assessed on simple reading ..what do u think? I think we shud not worry as long as our girls are ready for P1Thanks HappyAvon.

Hi swpf, I have called up the school and was informed they will send us the booklist by post later and we can order the school books online. We can then request to collect it during orientation or get the vendor to deliver to us. We can purchase school uniform etc during orientation day.
As for the assessment, it will not be done on the orientation day itself. Children will only be assessed when they starts their P1 class. Children will only be meeting up with their FT and classmates on the orientation day...

Thanks a lot HappyAvon.
Just curious why did you choose this school? -
swpf:
Hi swpf, SACPS was my 2nd choice. We chose this school cos my girl had wanted an all girls' school all along. I was a PV for a co-ed school in the East subjected to balloting. I had explained to my girl that we will try for that school first and if we fail, then she can choose to go to SACPS.. So she is the happy one now and keeps telling me her wish had fulfilled..Thanks a lot HappyAvon.
Just curious why did you choose this school?
I did check with ppl around about SACPS and there were many good feedbacks about it...My girl's piano teacher had students from SACPS and she also supported our decision..She even commented that the girls there were happy and the school do emphasize alot on values which we feel are equally important too.. So without much hesitation, we registered her in Phase 2C since we are within 1-2 km. I understand SACPS had balloting within 1-2km under Phase 2CS.
This year there were 53 applicants for 39 seats. 21 <1km got in and 29 w/1-2km got to ballot for 18 places..so we are considered lucky that we had got in under Phase 2C

For my case, my 1st choice is rsps and 2nd choice is sacps.
I have checked with my dd’s Icl teacher and my friends, they commented sacps is good. Luckily we are within 1km, or else I really don’t know where to put her to :s
However I heard from 1 of the ccc principal that girls’ schools have many bullies… Is it true?
