2012 P1 Registration Exercise for 2013 In-Take
-
Which schools might cut intake for the 2013 cohort? I think this is one of the issue most of us here are concerned of.

Reporting in…
Registering for my DD next yr, Hong Wen in 2B within 1km.
Would have preferred SCGS though… hope it turns out like this yr, no balloting for 2C. -

We also won't know til MOE announces.
I'm just really glad my P1 Registration is over. :snooze:
Good luck to you folks next year. -
Thanks mummyo, which school did you register your child? I wish I m in your shoes......

I am very worried for my child intake next year. Am staying at SengKang. Think I will give up on Nan Chiau and move on to Compassvale Primary. How is Compassvale Primary school? Do they have student care?

So glad to found this thread…
My DD will be going P1 in 2013… I’m staying in Punggol, hopefully she can enter a co-ed school so that I can spare the agony for DS!
I’m within 1km of Mee Toh & Horizon -
seems like all have been well prepared for the coming registration

I am registering my DD next yr 2012 and we are seriously considering the 2 options below.
Option 1 Register for Phase 2B for RGPS but we stay > 2km
Option 2 Register for Phase 2A as I am a old girls for Princess Elizabeth Primary (PEPS) or 2C as we stay within 1km.
From the recent P1 statistics this year intake
- RGPS goes into balloting for Phase 2B >2km this year. Reducing intake next year.
- PEPS over registered by 375% for Phase 2C. Risk of balloting only for those staying within 1km is high.
Really need advice from experience parents. As if we choose Option 2 Phase 2A, it’s a guarantee seat but we will forsake our chance with Option 1. However if we go for Option 1 and not successful, we might run to risk in Phase 2C for PEPS. -

Hi gekkhim, I think the option is pretty clear to me! Your alumni, less than 1km from your house, what could be better. Besides, PEPS is a good school and very well received too! If you try for RGPS and do not get it, and then end up balloting at PEPS and do not get in, would you regret it? You'll need to decide if its worth the risk. All the best, ya.I am registering my DD next yr 2012 and we are seriously considering the 2 options below.
