We need to go for interview or selection process , what are the kind of question they ask usually ? Must I have special skills or qualification ? Sorry so many questions !!

It all depends on the school. I believe different schools have different needs. Do find out more during the interview.

Hi LeeTaiTai,
Things we were asked to do-make lanterns, help in library duties, coach P6 students, reading program, selling books etc etc -
Hi! Can someone advise - if PV fails to get a place during Phase 2B ballot, do they all go to 2C ballot, ie total 2 chances? If stay 1-2km, but 2C ballot is only for <1km, does the PV still get to ballot in 2C?
Thanks!

yes, if fails in phase 2B, can apply again in phase 2C
no. no special treatment for in PV after phase 2B. if balloting for 2C is wihin < 1km, those staying > 1km including PV, are not successful, and cannot participate in balloting.
PV only allow parent the chance to register in phase 2B that's all. -
OIC. thanks for clarifying!

There were reports that some PVs were dissappointed in this year's P2B exercise as they could not get a place in the school they volunteered owing to too many applicants.
Just curious is this a usual affair or situation is unusual this year? If it is the latter, then perhaps schools would recruit smaller number of PVs, moving forward, just to be safe.

It is impossibile for school to do an accurate demand projects as there are too many factors beyond its control. -

I feel most schools will only take in a reasonably estimated number of PVs to avoid a large number of disappointed PVs. To be fair, the schools are unable to predict accurately the number of vacancies available for P2B.There were reports that some PVs were dissappointed in this year's P2B exercise as they could not get a place in the school they volunteered owing to too many applicants.

It seems that P2B is getting more \"competitive\", with more parents volunteering, including those with PR status. Maybe balloting for those <1Km in P2B for more schools in future. -
for 2B - if volunteer and can get in eventually, it's worth the effort and time !
but if volunteer so hard but still don't get in the end, sian ! :gloomy: :imconstipated:
:stupid: :stompfeet:
schools should think of the feelings of these parents, try to create appropriate number of vacancies.
