      Yeah that wasthe one Smartmummy.

I like the questions in this series too. I bought the P5-6 when DD was in P5. Then thought P3/4 one since the Qs were more to the new syllabus , DD batch was the first batch to do the new syllabus - and there were hardly any books as per the new format.

Champion, u truly are an expert in finding out the books. Where were u 2 yes ago??

          Hi All!

I have a qn from Conquer Sci assessment book Exercise65 Q2.

A syringe has 10ml air at first. After pushed the plunger in,the picture shows less than 10 ml.(picture showed in the book, before and after)
What is the true reading of the volume of air in the syringe after the plunger was pushed in?
Answer provided as 10 ml.Is that answer is correct? If yes why?

If we pushed in should be less than 10 ml as air can be compressed.
          Smartmummy,
Managed to find the question & shall upload here for easy reference šŸ˜„

The answers for the other questions in that science assessment books are not properly structured i.e. no focus on the keywords. Does any school use this book? I am quite sure that the question/answer is wrong.

CA and SA, I can see they will test basic knowledge.

                      Hi smartmummy

I used to have a friend who spent her time in office compiling science assessment book using past exam papers to earn extra money. She would change some of the wordings.... so as to be seen as \"original\". Since then, I didn't buy any more science assessment books.

Just my opinion; pass exam papers are the best \"assessment books\" - they don't have that many mistakes. St Nic's papers provide many good questions on \"analysis and application\". Roysth's papers contain most questions that are out of syllabus. Don't like RGPS questions and model answers because they usually have conceptual \"grey areas\" that are debatable. Above were just my past observations when I was teaching my kids but may not be true now.

                      Cheers

I have past exam papers (u meant top school papers),normally i start with assessment books cos they will apply that they learnt at school then I go to past papers.cos usually assessment books are easy to do than the past papers.
For maths I do assessment book, then topical exam paper then go to past paper.
