good news.. i received my books today.. but when i used the international mail tracking system, the status is not updated..

But when i check with Singpost, the books arrived yesterday and i received it today... I believed those that ordered in May should be receiving their books today or tomorrow. πŸ™‚

        Hi SAHM Chew,

Thank you for sharing this good news.

Just check the system and found the books are already in Singapore. :boogie:

Order on May 14 and the lead time is more than 12 weeks! :nailbite:

        Hi Brenda10,

Congrats πŸ™‚ Luckily, we have this forum to discuss.. and to know that most of us did not receive the books by the due date, and later on, we actually received it on the same day.
Or else, i think i will not go through this way to get my chinese books as the wait is so long...
Yalor! A good forum for sharing the information! :hugs:

BTW, dangdang now sent me a mail about : ζ‚¨ε‡ηΊ§δΈΊι‡‘ε‘δΌšε‘˜οΌŒζœ‰ζ•ˆζœŸθ‡³2012εΉ΄08月15ζ—₯。

However, will temporary stop buying as having too many books on hand now!

            Hi Brenda 10,

Being a ι‡‘ε‘δΌšε‘˜ will only get you a few cents off the next purchase. There is a next level but I am not there yet!!
Maybe if I keep buying the wrong books!

              Hi all,

Actually you can order in the spree section of motherhood forum with other mothers, I also know a mother selling ready stocks, she's staying in Bishan, she got a list of the ready stocks, i been to her house before, I bot a set of the story books each one costs less than $2 only, although cannot choose the books u want from dangdang website, but at least u get to 'see' the books before purchase to prevent from buying the wrong books πŸ™‚

Hi I am really the sua ku here. Can someone tell me the difference between joining the spree and buying direct from dang dang. I see that the spree is very popular.

Buy direct: one has to order from DD - cost is very transparent. DD sends via slower than snail mail to your place directly. The relationship is between you and DD.

Buy via spree: one orders via the organiser - cost is little bit opaque becos it's up to organiser to decide what exchange rate and what shipping rate to charge you. You pay organiser upfront. Organiser place order with DD and somehow gets the stuff shipped here. It may be faster in that organiser may use a 3rd party shipping co instead of DD.

But if the organiser 'runs road', then you would have lost your money and there is no recourse. DD will not entertain your queries becos DD dealt with the organiser.

Spree I reckon is good becos in some cases one can actually save money and you deal with someone in Sg. But after all the news about spree organisers defaulting, best to buy from trusted source.
