Really really do not have luck on our side .... My DH also cannot belive how unlucky we can be .....

Have to go further away now to our 3rd choice school now....

Don't be dismayed. Seriously the progress of the child is all in your hands. If you think its the school that truly matters, then you wrong. Its only you that matters!
I have seen my niece bloomed from a super shu girl to a more confident one in the loving care of the Pei Tong teachers. And to us, that is way more important as it gives her the real headstart to life than others who only has paper aces.

Do call MOE and check the available options. And sont be mis led into thinking that our children is heading for doomstay at any particular school.

i am very upset with the balloting, out of 21 for 7 seats more than 70 percents of the 21 are PRs…

I had just call up MOE and they confirm receiving the reuest for manual posting to Pei Tong ( Qifa help to fax to MOE ) and i will know on 23 Aug. From posts in the forum, i believe that Pei Tong is also a good school it is just that i have to arrange for transport back in the afternoon or BASC . Any parents put their children in BASC in Clementi ? Saw some comments in the forum and note there is one in Clementi central .Any comments for the BASC ?

After a day the disappointment has lessen. We will move on from here . I still put myself on wait list at Qifa and will see how it all goes. Thanks to all once again

a lot of people often may not get their first choice school. What they do is enter 2nd choice school first. Then at end of P1, take their kid’s P1 results seek transfer back into 1st choice school.

likewise you may take yr child’s Pei Tong P1 results next yr, seek transfer back to Qifa, while you still on waitlist.

with many schools doing away with exams at P1, this route may get increasingly difficult. however one can still be requested to be put on a waitlist.

Yep. There is a form to fill up and you can state your preferred choice of school ( you can state up to three ) and you need to fax to MOE ( no provided on the slip ) and when i call up this morning they confirm that they have receive the request and will assist in the allocation of place before phase 3 starts on 25. They supposedly will call me on 23 and mail to me too. If i do not receive any call i should call them on 24 ( 1 day before phase 3 starts )

thanks! all along, i thought they will just assign to the next nearest. did not know parents still can state 3 choices.
