agree! as years go by, getting very tough!

for 2A – as years go by, anything can change.

          2A most risky - are those residing > 2km.
          2A and <1km, still safe.

possible strategies for 2A (possibly combine with 2B):-

a)\tshift nearer to <1km – if you still want to aim for that alumni 2A school.

b)\tif dun want to shift (for whatever reasons) – fallback strategy is: consider alternative nearby good neighbourhood school(s). means one spouse PV, perhaps another spouse grassroot.

in the event last minute suddenly MOE announce sudden change of 2A rules, at least 2As are not caught in dilemma. Then 2B kicks in. If fail under PV – your spouse grassroot becomes safety net ?

agree! September coming up fast next week, December is Christmas season.

so left only last 3 months (Sep, Oct, Nov) before step in P1, steam engine fully turned on. No turning back anymore. So focus on whatever need to brush up, for remaining 3 months left. You’re now driving on right lane, got to maintain speed.

              jia you!

                Dear phtthp,
How do you define what is alternative nearby good neighbourhood school(s)? Do you mean neighbourhood schools there are bad ones :? :scratchhead:

Safety Net :? :scratchhead: So, you are encouraging parents to do Voluntarily work as PV or grassroot members in order to \"play safe\" 🀷 🀷
Chief, you really KS. The 2012 exercise has not finished yet. You put up 2013 already. My DS1 will be there then. More and more challenging from the stats.

But I'm really ChiefKS. Or you prefer to call me ChiefReallyKS?

Anyway, I created this thread because someone has already started asking questions about it and there is no existing thread for it.

good thread to be initiated. My brother was concerned abt his daughter who might have problem looking for a good school when Y2013 registration comes. Cos he stays at Pasir Panjang area and no school around.. any advice from pple staying at that area ? Thks
Pasir Panjang can try Blangah Rise Primary which is the nearest.

                    hi,

my friend joined PV at St Andrew’s Junior - enrolling her son for P1 2013.

is her chance optimistic ? she stay > 2km plus PV.

There will be balloting. My friend also PV >2 km and had to ballot. This year about 60 people balloted for 40+ seats if I'm not wrong. So around 14 pax didn't get in.
