Yes they have. Its the one where they wrap in a special paper? If that is the one,
they still have it.
Have you tried Modestos, it is another place that has good Italian fare. -

No, not that one. It's in a tomato-based sauce with vodka.Yes they have. Its the one where they wrap in a special paper? If that is the one,

Haven't tried Modestos. Isn't it vegetarian? -
Interesting, I will look for this tomato based vodka but I do not remember seeing it
on the menu.
Modestos is not vegetarian. Their pasta is good, it is more hearty compared to
Da Paolo which is why my husband liked it more. I find some of the pastas done
very well. You can taste the herb taste in them.
There is one Italian restaurant that is superb but I recommend going only
for very special occasions as it is rather expensive. It is Garibaldi at Purvis
Street. Their ingredients are very fresh and the food is shiok although the
atmosphere there is a bit atas. You feel like you cannot laugh too loud and
must take small bites of your food. At least that was how I felt.
Do you like French food? Any recommendations for french fare? I was thinking
of bringing my friend who is visiting from Indonesia from some good french food. -
Hi coolit,
Iβve tried Garibaldi. Itβs pretty good. The service was a little lacking the last time I was there though. Have you tried Absinthe? Itβs pretty good.
I like good French food but havenβt had some in a while. -
Hi there,
Any GOOD Spanish restaurants to recommend.
I miss having good tapas and especially the paella. -
Just realised I have so much more restaurants to try

Garibaldi and Absinthe -> yet to try
jtoh, what did you have at Garibaldi?
Think I will skip the photos for now, I have had Forlino a few times (Lunch Set Menu - hearty portions, Degustation Menu - Good size portions but ridiculously full). The service @ Forlino is really wonderful and the night view is soothing.
il Lido @ Sentosa, Hmmm went there once. tried their Degustation menu... some of the courses were nice but when it came to the beef cheek, I was so filled up that it became a chore to eat. Their portioning could be sized down a little I feel...
Service wise... normal nothing outstanding
Jaan - was brought there on the last day of P2C registration for cheering up :p, had the 5 course Lunch menu and it was lovely. the Chef seemed to be in a happy mood hence we had 2 Amuse bouche, each course was delicate and exquisite. trying to grab the photos to post it. I would say Jaan would be a special place for a Date night with the view and food. Service impeccable
Capricci - leans towards italian fare, the chef is one hearty and smiling guy. Cosy Dining
Chang - Korean food. Went once and love the place. What won me over was the service staff attending to my DDs without me asking. Separate bowls, kids cutlery, warm water, portioning the food for them. That scores + points not to mention the Ginseng Chicken, broiled beef in Pumpkin, wagyu beef grill set was delicious as well. -

Hmmm you can try Don Quijote @ Dempsey, I went there a few weeks back... My honest opinion? If you are having their tapas with Sangria, it will go well. I had the meat paella and their tapas.. coz most of their things seemed to be \"dusted\" with chorizo , the taste of the food became boring for us. But ppl around me likes the food so you might to give it a go? I happened to frequent the Muthu's beside and this spanish place is always bustlingHi there,
Any GOOD Spanish restaurants to recommend.

I went to Don Quijote and was quite disappointed with the food. Maybe I was expecting more after recently having some fantastic Spanish food in New York. The paella was too wet and did not have any socarrat, the prawns tapas was dull.
So Iβm still looking around for good tapas and paella. Any recommendations? -
Kissgurami,
I can't remember what I had at Garibaldi already. It was some time ago.
I like il Lido. Service is pretty good. I had their degustation menu too. And it was filling! At one time they were having a very good promo with some credit card for lunch. I found my way there twice.
I haven't tried Jaan and Capricci. May go check them out. -
@jtoh
UOB 1 - 1 Promo, I used that too for Forlino and il Lido :D!
Jim Thompson - Just super \"high class\" thai food. lavish dining layout , food was decent. one-off experience, think I will stick to lemongrass or Bali Thai or Dian Din
The White Rabbit - Really liked their Lunch Set Menu and thumbs up to their Easter Lunch for Kids. The service though..... is somewhat lacking but the ambience and food makes up for it.
Halia - Alfresco Seating for sure! Took the ala carte menu and I risk on some unusual ice cream. The food is lovely. Bacon and pear ice cream I think. need to dig out my pix.
Flutes - Decently priced and relaxing ambience.
Majestic - Chinese cuisine in a different light.
Pepperoni for Pizza Fix
!!
Ok, that's most of my culinary experiences , Yup, sourcing for Spanish food as well. Hopefully someone can share with us soon
