          Jennifer:
The snowskin mooncake is easy to make. There is a shop (Kwong Siang Tai) @ Geylang (near the MRT stn) that sells many types of fillings & snowskin powder & the moulds.

Hi Jennifer, have you tried the mooncake fillings from there before? Are they sweet? I thought of trying to bake my own mooncakes but am afraid the fillings would be too sweet.

Hm, hard to say if the fillings are sweet. BUT definitely very fattening. That particular year I made and ate them, I put on so much weight that I avoid eating mooncakes since then.

Durian snowskin I like Peony Jade, but yup, nothing beats the real thing.

Bought traditional ones from Shang and snowskin from Jewels this year. Last year also bought from Jewels, I like their champagne truffle. This year there’s salted caramel, expresso truffle and black garlic. I tried the black garlic but decided against it, not quite my cup of tea even though I do enjoy garlic.

My aunt and granny use to make mooncakes and I use to join in when I was young. Fun.

recently, i had eaten a black skinned mooncake with yellow egg yolk and found that it’s nice despite its color… but i dunno where it is from cos it’s a gift from someone…

Yes I did, I do find them sweeter but I still like it 😂 One of my favourite's.
