Am very inspired by the discussion here and considering to 'get rid' of my maid who gives me 'face colour' every time I ask her to do her work faster or when I correct her mistakes.

Does anyone has any freestanding dishwasher recommendation?
Btw, anybody has Europace multi function rice cooker ERJ 18K? Is the fry function good?

Actually if you have an oven, you can use the oven to fry your food. Simply just add 1 or 2 drops of oil into your marination and place the meat piece by piece on the baking trap. If you want it a bit more crispy, then place the meat on the tray first and add 1 drop of oil on every piece of meat instead of \"mass marinating\".

It is much healthier because you use minimum oil and easy cleaning as well.
        What's a baking trap?

I am using a Bosch dishwasher.

For frying, I either use my pan (with cover) or a small Stainless pot. This way, not too much oil will be used.

For crispy chicken wings, I bake them instead.

Which Bosch model? Where did you buy it from? Not every electronics store carry dishwasher.

          Thanks!

            HC_Parent:
I am a shm with 3 young kids, the youngest only 6 months. My long time maid just left yday but we had an estranged relationship over the last 18 months and I am glad she has left. I had to tolerate her because I was heavily pregnant at the time I found out about her dishonesty and laziness. Today I found out that she left a letter for my new maid and she called me names and said I was a slave driver and always scold her. Which is so not true. Some more I bought more than a hundred dollars worth of clothes and toys for her to bring back to her son. I feel so sad for myself now. That I was housing such a hypocrite with a poisonous tongue.

I wish I don't need a maid but it's really impossible in my situation. My kids are all very demanding esp the 2 year old. I need help with the endless housework and laundry.

I feel so sad I'm a victim of all these. Wish I can be as capable as the rest of u here.
I can really feel for you bec I have triplets and had went thru where you are now. I have no family support and so have to depends on 'outsiders'. Now, I would like to encourage you (but not good in words)... that rainbow will be appear after rain. So bite the bullet and situation will get better each day as our darlings grow. Take good care of your health. Don't be depress as you are not alone. Perhaps try to get out of the house sometimes....and you will realise no one in the house suffer even if you are away for a day or even a week!
I was maidless only when my triplets turned 5 y.o. So hang there and you will make it! Now my triplets are coming to 7 y.o.

                  pooh-mummy & sundunes,

A dishwasher sounds so attractive. After cooking every night, i just feel so drained clearing and washing up. But I’m housed in a typical small HDB kitchen, i can’t see where else i can put a dishwasher and u do need a water outlet and inlet right?

Apart fr the water inlet n outlet prob when getting a dish washer u will also need to know if your pots n dishes r dishwasher safe. It is too much a hassle for me so i have drop the idea og getting one 😞

                        No probs peapot.

I intend to have the dishwasher next to my washing machine, I supposed both machines can share the same water inlet (hmmm, splitter from the tap?) and water outlet. Any advice from anyone here?

Quite a lot of utensils and cutlery are dishwater safe, including milk bottles!
