How long does your kids' school shoes last?

I've used Raymax for my son for a year and I'm really impressed.
Chanced upon them at my daughter's primary school and bought a pair for my son. Was keen due to the stitching as the Bata's we've been using are expensive and split (open mouth!) very fast...especially for my son who is very active.
The Raymax shoes were very good. Also my son said they felt less hot than the Bata ones so that might mean that they are using material that's more breathable. With bata we were forced to take nylon mesh as the plastic/leather ones were way to hot. With Raymax the \"leather\" ones were still quite cooling (as least that's what my son says).
Somewhere in the middle of the year, I think I went back to them to get 2 more pairs cause that one pair I bought last December super outlasted the Batas.
Now we're ready to buy new shoes for the coming school year and I'm glad to hear they are still in business.
Only hassle is their warehouse is really in one corner of the island.
Believe they also do set up stalls at schools but can't remember the timings, which school etc.
Doing by bit to promote them cause they deserve the publicity - they are cheap and good (for now at least)!

I jus bought a pair of raymax n comfortmax shoes each at sembawang pri sch for my sister's children. the seller gave a receipt. it contains the contacts. apparently, e warehouse is in yishun. i dun hav e receipt right beside me but i rem it's in yishun, industrial block A, block 1023 on the 4th floor, jus beside a medical warehouse. E number's is 6555 2398.
I asked the seller what was so good bout e shoe. I was pretty impressed. According to e seller, prices range from $20 to $30 depending on size. And its a sch shoe combined w a sports shoe. 2 in 1. e shoe can use for PE, napfa test.... etc. Y DO U WAN TO BUY ANOTHER SPORTS SHOE WHICH IS PROBABLY BRANDED WHEN THERE'S A 2 IN 1 SHOE?! not like as if branded sports shoe got 30plus tat kind.I also heard tat e boss designs the shoe himself. E holes at the sides of e shoe is to expel heat from wat i heard. and it's anti slip. i tried rubbing e sole against the concrete ground. it works i tell u. I also found out tat raymax/comfortmax shoe is made from PU (poly uterine or smth like tat) which is man-made leather. Bata use PVC, or simply... lousy plastic. And yes, e shoe i bought is fully stitched. E damm sole wont drop out im sure. Overall, for e price i paid, i think its worth it.
Some might wonder wats e dif between raymax (red box) n comfortmax (blue box). e seller tell me its e same. jus tat sometimes no stock for certain size so they alternate between both.
Also, i bought comfortmax school bags. Cos there was this offer. Normal price $39.90. from a few days ago to while stocks last, e new price is $15. e quality's not bad. plus there's padding at e bottom of e bag so dun need worry bout heavy books spoiling the bottom of the bag.
K, tats all, jus tot i share it w parents who stil haven bought sch stuff for their children -

Raymax seems to get good feedback from parents whom had bought their school shoes and I also want to get for ds who’s entering P1 next year.
Q1: usually, how many pair of shoes do you get for your kid?
Q2: does Raymax goes to every school; say, during P1 Orientation day? -
I got Raymax for my kids. I got 2 pairs for each child. They wore Raymax everyday but now older one wants Converse he says it is cool.
So may change to that for him as he has been bugging me a long time. -

Every Saturday 10am to 1pm for walk in purchase. They visited some schools to sell their mechandise (shoes + bags) but not ALL schools in Singapore.
Their website is not relevant and I have informed Crystal.

i got a pair of adidas shoes for ds but after a term or two, he complained that his feet were hot (no ventilation in the shoes).
got him a pair from bata and so far okay.
only thing i dont like about shoes here is there is no proper arch support especially for those with flat feet. so need to buy insoles (meant for flat feet). -
LOLmum, around how old can we check if the kid has flat foot?
my boy is 2.5yrs old, it is hard to see if he is flat footed like his daddy. -

from what i know, all babies’ feet look flat because an arch hasn’t formed yet. arches should form by the time your child is 2 or 3 years old.
when ds was about 3 or 4 yrs old, i notice his walk was a bit funny. feet kinda turned in when walking but he never complain about pain which is a good sign.
however when i saw the underside of his shoes (the inner side) was more worn out then the outerside, i knew something was not right. after seeking opinion from a dr, ds was given a pair of insoles. now he walks better wearing them and the worn out part of the shoes is no longer an issue.
i only buy shoes with good arch support for my kids. school shoes is however a problem.
was told by dr that kids who went round not wearing shoes most of the time were found to have stronger feet, with better flexibility and mobility, fewer deformities like flat feet or toes that curve inwards, and less complaints
