no lah....no bullies there....at least for the few years which my gal was there......
i like the ex-principal very much.....dunno much abt the new P now.[/quote]Yah... ex-P was very nice. Students love her a lot. According to dd2, new P very strict. One good thing is that she mentioned that her vocab improved by leaps and bounds as P scolds them with \"cheem\" words. So, she's forced to check the dictionary for its meanings. haha

Former P went to CHIJ Nativity at Hougang.

Current P was the former VP (but she was VP for only a very short while - less than 6 months i think). But can see that she’s working very hard - and getting her teachers to work hard as well to improve the school’s standards.

Aiyoh… as for the class names… prefer it when it was named after flowers. Now it’s Steadfast, Piety, Justice, Courage, and 2 more which I can’t remember. Must ask dd2 but she in dreamland now

schweppes, thanks for yr update .....
ya , i heard is chij nativity, but not too confirm of it.

i also heard that the girls dun quite like the new P, fr my gal's ballet's juniors....
haha... coz she's strict and firm. Wants them to behave themselves. But good for the girls. For example, getting them to be more ladylike (esp u know how all these girls sit), responsible in their behavior.....

                Augmum:
dd2 ?? isit mean that yr dd1 already left SACPS ??
                yup 😉

Hi, my dd is presently in higher Primary now. To those who have enrolled their dd to the school, I think you have made a good choice. Personally, I feel that the school's standard is above average and it imparts good values to students. I have yet to hear any vulgarities coming from any students whenever I picked her from school. In general I think that most girls are well-behaved and speak well (their strength). There may be rare cases of over-domineering girls throwing their weight or 'bullying' others (most schools have), teach your kid to deal with them. If possible, get to know some of her classmates by inviting them to your house and reinforcing friendships among them. Your child is more likely to enjoy school when she has good friends around and less likely to be picked on by others.

So far, my dd teachers are nice n caring (can email them directly if any concern). As for the new principal, she speaks fluent English and has high expectations from the girls esp in behaviour which i think is good. My dd loves her school and I am so glad that she is in such a wholesome environment. Though she is in one of the best classes, she does not feel very pressurized. Our education system can be so stressful for kids nowadays and it is a bonus if the school environment is good. 😄

Erm... my girls way past orientation stage by now. It's a wonderful school with very caring and nurturing teachers. Whilst they place emphasis on the academics, they also place equal importace on values and social skills as well.

For those girls who are entering P1 next year, it's going to be a start of a wonderful journey of learning and friendship forming. :rahrah: :rahrah:

The school has posted pictures on the website. Is your DD’s pic there?
