I find the under two stage the easiest! I once travelled on my own to the US with DS1 when he was less an 2yo. My kids breastfeed, so when i go out, I don’t have to worry about milk powder. Even if they wake up in the night, I just have to let the nurse themselves back to sleep and I don’t really have to wake up. Can carry em everywhere on the sling and they won’t run away from you. No need to argue with them. Easy to get them to do what you want by clever use of inducements and distractions.

Only thing is that you have to carry them around, you have to feed them, nurse them. Aiyah....
Last night, I was having a bad time sleeping for some reason. Then my 3yo woke and was tossing/turning around in bed and finally asked to drink milk. I told him \"sky not bright yet\". Thankfully he didn't argue. *whew*. 630am and he woke and said \"mommy, sky bright already, I want to drink milk\". Oh well - can't argue with that. Am afraid my old bones really ache nursing in bed with this youngest one though. So I can no longer say it's a breeze to nurse at night without really having to wake, like how it was with the older ones. With this one, I don't find nursing in bed restful, although I still do it. -
I did the "sky is bright" trick with my boys too…but, when I lived in the US, I would find DS1 in my bed looking for milk at 530am in the summer months coz that’s when the sun would rise!

Our apartment only had blinds and we weren't allowed to change them! :frustrated:
On the bright side (har har...) at least we weren't living further North and earlier sunrises! -
When I am at home I find under 2 yo stage easier coz familiar environment they tend to stick to routine n i will know when is my rest period. But when outside I find 5 yo n abv easier as they can listen to instructions n can eat n go toilet on their own so more hassle free .

Personally I feel tat child between 0-2/3 year old is easier to take care in terms of less talk n dun have to handle their tantrums. For 3-7 year old, they r more independent bt more tantrums n arguments. As for 7yrs old, then I am not sure as my children have yet to reach tat stage!

Less than 2/3 yo definitely talk less n I can have some peace at home
But when we r outside eg buying grocery the less than 2/3 yo will be the one whining in her stroller :frustrated: -
