hi 1amber,
besides P1 Prep class, Mindstretcher also got various Phonics class.
they'll assess your child first, before determine which class he enter into -ie. Elementary, Intermediate or Advanced class. Objective is to ensure kid can read well fluently, before enter P1.
u may consider Phonics class too, if you wish. -
I just came upon this thread . Very well summarized and useful ! Thanks for sharing Chief! Now Step 1 - time to budget for enrichment first…
-
for parents with kids entering P1 2012 - Term 4 (2011) last quarter is coming soon.
as a starting point of reference point - perhaps can refer to NYPS list of P1 recommended useful enrichment programme(s).
see if you find any suitable / relevant to your child.
if interested, can ring up respective enrichment service provider to inquire:-

Chanced upon a few websites, thought to share though it could have been mentioned before
“Kindergarten is much more relaxed with fewer children per class compared to many primary 1 classes. Those P’s and Q’s are so very important once they start their primary school.”
ermm... what are P's & Q's :? -
