Does anyone know if there are books on the correct word to use for types of quantity for items? For example 1 xx table, 1 xx cloth, 1 xx apple, etc. TIA

You're referring to 量词 ? Having similar problem getting my girl to remember. Think I need to make a trip to Popular to find a book on this. So far, I've only 'succeeded' to get my daughter to remember the real basics - 只，个，朵，片. Will let you know if I can find the book.

Hi! My DD2 who is K2 this year is learning 量词 in her Kindergarten and also her Chinese Enrichment class.


Let me get home tonite and search for the materials and see whether I can upload here tml to share with you all.

I think marks will be deducted...eg my DD2 that time wrote 一双手 correct but she wrote 两双手 wrong cos correct answer is 两只手....I am not good at 量词 so am learning from her enrichment centre note

As mentioned, these are what my DD2 currently learning in her Chinese Enrichment class for 量词!

hmm... i thought fruits shd be using 粒 ... hw come i still see 一个萍果..


so which is correct :?

Mummies out there who are more well-versed in Mandarin, correct me if I’m wrong.


I think 粒 is for very small item, so can be used for 一粒米 but think apple too big, so use 一个?


So trying to find an authority book on these 量词.
