      SAHM_TAN:
Thank you Janet and Champion for helping. I'm not good at it and know that sometimes I use the wrong term. Will teachers deduct marks, if write the wrong term?

I think marks will be deducted...eg my DD2 that time wrote 一双手 correct but she wrote 两双手 wrong cos correct answer is 两只手....I am not good at 量词 so am learning from her enrichment centre note 😄

Mummies out there who are more well-versed in Mandarin, correct me if I’m wrong.

I think 粒 is for very small item, so can be used for 一粒米 but think apple too big, so use 一个?

So trying to find an authority book on these 量词.

li.. not necessary use only for small thing.. is more for something that is more of a round shape..

yi li xi gua.. = watermelon.. quite bit wor.. :rotflmao:

common usage might not be right one.

But rice not round, still use li leh.
