      As mentioned, these are what my DD2 currently learning in her Chinese Enrichment class for 量词! 😄

        hmm... i thought fruits shd be using 粒 ... hw come i still see 一个萍果..


        so which is correct :?

          Mummies out there who are more well-versed in Mandarin, correct me if I’m wrong.


          I think 粒 is for very small item, so can be used for 一粒米 but think apple too big, so use 一个?


          So trying to find an authority book on these 量词.

              but i hear people in the market saying lai lai lai... 一粒西瓜 hw much & so one... watermelon big leh... :scratchhead:

                from what I understand...


                li.. not necessary use only for small thing.. is more for something that is more of a round shape..

                yi li xi gua.. = watermelon.. quite bit wor.. :rotflmao:

                  common usage might not be right one.


                  But rice not round, still use li leh.
