Hi photography enthusiasts! I use point and shoot cameras and have owned several Canon Ixus so far. Really disappointed with the quality of the Ixus 130 I bought in Nov last year, already went to service centre 2 times and now the lens jammed again for 3rd time! Although I admit that it may be contributed by mishandling by my kids, I still find that the camera spoils easily compared to past models.

kekeke.. buy a better camera for yourself and tell your kids this one is Out of Bounds to them ~

ps. i've never used Ixus before so dunno about the quality ~ i have a Panasonic Lumix and it's pretty OK. my kids use it too.

I have since bought a Sony cybershot and banned them from even touching it. But a bit regret my purchase cos the video format can't be viewed easily on Windows. The salesperson told me that cameras are not made to last nowadays but yet want to sell me extended warranty.

Do we need a roll-call page or something? ... At least the nick and camera. Also just thinking how we can keep this thread neat rather than having everyone make a new post in this thread... After a while this thread may get a bit \"rojak\" with pix and small talks... Or am I too optimistic that this thread will actually be very popular?

I think better for Peter to maybe maintain the roll call page as the first post which he can update, else the roll call may be all over the place and a bit hard to identify how many enthusiasts are there.

Hmm no la I am not organised, my workstation is the super messy type where mountains of paper pile up sigh :imdrowning: .. Just that better to pre empt before it gets messy ma... cos cleaning up is a huge task later.

I love doing portraits. I've recently ventured into child photography, it's so much fun! I brought my kids to botanic gardens- an amazing place to shoot with the kids. Big spaces to run around in, lots of greenery, bright sun. Just be careful of the ponds!
