i’m thinking of enrolling my son to learn abacus but he is already 12yrs old…is it too late for him to learn abacus???

Yes, my daughter currently in K2, already know all her time table well after attending 3G abacus class for 1.5yrs.Abacus can also use for multiplication & division.
In fact, my students from Pr1 already know Time tables from 1 to 12.
Abacus help them in more understanding. -

My son shows strong interest in the abacus beads and loves to count on it. But he's too young to attend lessons (2 yrs 7 mths) so we are wondering when will be a good time to send him. -
Basically, I think that children can start learning abacus at any age if they can cope. My child started at 4. After 3 years, she graduated. She can now do sums up to 15 digits.

My boy in K2 now, just started Abacus.. too much homeworks...as my boy also have other enrichment -
may i ask wats 3G abacus really like

My 7yr old is attending abacus class, but not the 3G. I believe it is the traditional method, the abacus has 2 rows on the top and 4 down the bottom. In a way I think P1 is a good starting age. The student’s progress also depend on whether the child can understand the abacus methods. DS has a classmate who started way b4 him and he is in P4, but now they are at the same level.
