my friend told me when her son was in an elite primary school, parents would give expensive gifts like bird nest products to lady teachers and branded shirts/belts etc for male teachers :yikes:

How do the parents know which size to buy for branded shirts /belts?

        wao...too much :nailbite:

:yikes: wa! to showoff, bribe or curry favor?[/quote]Here's my theory. Not all but maybe for some who are used to such lifestyle, it's auto that they think of such gifts. Maybe to them, it's very normal stuff.

yes, usually teachers dun request for such gifts... if they are not greedy, they should not accept though.

ya, i agree such parents are really kiasu and should not think of bribing the teachers πŸ˜“

There’s nothing better for a teacher than a simple word of thanks from students when they receive good results for their exams.

I thought as a rule teachers are not supposed to accept any gifts from students. They will have to surrender/declare these gifts and cannot accept as their own?

Maybe I’m mistaken but DDs school don’t even encourage buying cards. They did say however, cards made by the students will be appreciated.

Maybe next time we can give them a T-shirt which says...\"Thank you kiasu teacher for making me the kiasu student.\" πŸ˜‚
