I share the same sentiment as 3Boys and sparks - now that we have all voted, I feel more free to share. I don't have good vibes about TJS cos he \"smells\" too much of opposition. In fact, all his rally speakers and supporters are from opposition, unlike the other 3 candidates; and he also didn't deny that he may rejoin SDP if he is not elected as president. A man who can flip-flop like that, how can he be truly impartial and above politics? Just my personal opinion.

[Strparent, I don't think the majority of those staying away from TJS are doing so on account on being within their comfort zone. He has shown himself to be somewhat of a divisive figure, and I fear his need to appease his supporters' agenda than the man himself, whom I'm sure is an honourable person, like all the other candidates.

I agree. I am totally not comfortable with him. His rally is like a mini opposition rally!

TT is leading in all centers by a comfortable margin. TCB is at least 5% ahead of TJS. TKL is in trouble.

I watched TT on the channel 8 speech last night, and can see he has improved. Must really commend him for his efforts. :salute:

          concern2,

I never like those who pull someone's leg at the last minute because they felt they were on the verge of losing the race - like the one in the corner fight during the last GE.

Initially I still had good opinions of him..
            he's not the only 1.

TCB did criticise TJS and TT during his campaign.. that is 1 of the reason my impression of him is not good. Another is the sentosa cove case.. he did stand out for the rich pple..

Ya, as of now, TT is leading by a comfortable margin.
TCB is at Jurong JC to check votes.

Above politics? An Elected President is a political figure!

And, I don't see anything wrong with being \"opposition\".. so to say..

In fact, there strictly should not be a term, \"Opposition\" party, Just ruling party or non-ruling party. All of them are fighting for their belief and what they felt is best for Singapore (or Singaporeans), in theory.

So, whether or not TJS is more alighted to opp, he is just doing what he felt is in the best interest for Singaporeans..

It doesn't matter whether he flip-flop between PE or GE, what is important is doing what he felt is best for the citizens and serving the national. So I don't see any problem with that.

Now that the voting is over, I also felt more at ease with sharing views/opinions.. 😉
