All About Choosing Piano Schools And Teachers

Appreciate recommendation for my 8yr old son in the eastern part of S’pore. I do NOT need my son to sit for piano exams, just need a creative and patient teacher who can motivate my son to appreciate music and the interest in playing the piano; I just want to give him the exposure to play the piano for leisure and enjoyment.


My son has attended Yamaha JMC and has been attending 1-1 piano lessons, however he doesn’t seem to enjoy his current lessons.

Good foundation covers concepts such as grasping of rhythm, note reading, good hand position, good posture/sitting position, noticing high and low pitches, loud and soft. That's for starters.

I think in this sense the YJC provided by Yamaha did a pretty good job. If it comes to preparing for grading, more challenging training/coaching is needed.

I haven think of the day n time yet....maybe on wkend morning or wkday evening? coz so likely will continue w jxc on tues evening...

If studio is nearby I'm ok w it...initially wanted to enroll for yamaha individual class but still on waiting list so open to other options nw...
