        Hi plum-cake,

You should get a recommended guidebook and work from there with regards to the \"depth of each topic\".

          Hi Plum-Cake,
Just shared with you briefly how I \"swim through\" from beginning of the year till this moment! 😉

I started off with only one guide book (Science Exam Booster Notes by Carol Phua) - as per my post in this thread:-
          http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=6640&start=160

Then I get to e-mail my DD1's Science T - a very dedicated lady who go to the extend to tell me what are the topics she be covering for 1st Semester and the format for both CA1 & SA1. Then she recommended me to download free past years CA1 papers to have a feel how questions are being set. You can refer to this webpage:-
          http://www.orlesson.org/orp/

After the CA1 - I have the feel of it and started my \"journey of sourcing Assessment & guide books\" 😄 With the help of parents from this forum like Mummy Janet_Lee and others who come forwards to share voluntarily! :grphug:

Do join us over at the Science Assessment Books thread and you will get a lot of tips! 🕺 I am still learning and benefiting from many parents here! :celebrate:

Just a word of caution - do not rush to buy too many Science Assessment Books in Term 1 - you will need the \"big purchase\" from Term 2 onwards. That is my own experience as topics covered in Term 1 are not that too heavy for the P3 to comprehend.

Above just my little sharing 😄

              smartmummy:
Is the term “transparent” introduced in the topic on Diversity of Materials?

              yes, it is.
Do we always assume glass is transparent and plastic is not? :? I remember my P3 challenged the choice of answers given in either a past yr paper or a worksheet.

                Hi Nebbermind,
Do you have the exact question?
Some of the answers in the past year papers and assessment books are incorrect.

glass and clear plastic are trasparent.
I hard to find the word \"transparent\" in the school text book. They use can see through.
In assessment books they use trasparent.I am not sure about pastpapers.Need to search.
