May I know what hotels you guys usually choose on F&E? Not too expensive, yet clean & comfortable round $100/night.

Do these hotels have tour desk where we can book to go Leofoo themepark (just like goldcoast hotels have tour bus going to 3 worlds), half day Wulai, and Northcoast tour?

I know there are several bus companies that have local tours (based on internet), but it is less hassle to do booking at hotel travel desk.

I am comparing above with SA F&E shopping craze which does not have Leofoo themepark & Wulai.

Any XMD hotel recommendation? I’m thinking of staying in a different hotel for our 2nd leg in Taipei.

              Blessed Homemaker,

I had booked City Inn Plus ,http://www.cityinn.com.tw/EN/Cityinn4/index.aspx
new and all the review were good but very popular. Another alternative is TS Hotel, I stay there my previous trip and was good also.

              Nani,

              I had email you.

Thanks sunnyling. I’ve tried City Inn Plus, they are fully booked for family and triple rooms. City Inn II and III’s family rooms are fully booked too.

I’ve also tried TS hotel, unfortunately they do not have any triple or family rooms.

There are many day rentals in XMD but I don’t feel safe staying there.

                    Blessed Homemarker,

Try Neijiang, call them as they only accept call booking. My frd stay there before and comment is good and she is going in this October and will be staying there again with her family as City Inn Plus was full when she book.

There are alot of day rental hotel in XMD but not to worry is safe staying there. I alway choose to stay at XMD as it convenience and a lot of good food there.

Anybody can teach how to attach the pdf file here as it will be easy for everyone.

                      sunnyling,

Thanks for the recommendation. But we find Neijiang a bit too far from the MRT station.

I was contemplating between TS hotel (add an extra bed) and Future Star (a few friends’ recommendation). 5 mins ago, just booked with Future Star as they have a family room to accommodate us, and most importantly, they are only 1-2 mins walk from MRT Ximen Exit 6.

I’m starting to plan my family’s trip in December and my first question is: how can we get from Taipei to Hualien? I’ve seen the railway website and There seems to be many trains each day. Is there like a best train? And is it best to book in advance from the website? Thanks.
