Fast forward forty years now, you are still having icy cold drinks all the time.

But then again, so do I... :preen:

SAHM2KIDS, Chief is right in a way.. My DD1 hides from us too and she was asthmatic. Lagi siong. :faint: We WILL know cause her body responds to her taking cold drinks almost automatically. :evil: When that happens or if she feels something gonna happen, she will at her own initiative tell us she does not want cold drinks or sweet drinks at all... just plain water, plus she will keep refilling her water bottle with plain water at home.

I'm just too worried and never expect she would hide from us. We had a good chat and she understand my worries. I see her cough getting so much better these 2 days. Think she learnt something also.

I guessed that the norm for young Pri school children to lost their stuffs...though I dun remember i do that


DS1 is in all boys school...worse...boys tends to be more careless...
his waterbottle has lost a couple of times till we r tired to replace one for him. In the end, let him use those recyle empty mineral bottles To our surprise, he din lost it since then, maybe bcos nobody would want to take it? :scared:

i agree that is the norm for p1 kids to lose their stuff.


DS1 also in an all boy school, i had already lost count how many pencils, erasers, rulers & water bottles he had lost!!

threatened him abt replacing his water bottle with plastic mineral bottle too if he lose his water bottle again & bingo, so far still ok guess..kids will be kids! hope by P2, losing stuff will be lesser and lesser.

I have a DD born in 2004 and now in P1 (west grove primary). She has home tuition for mandarin and goes for swimming as well taekwondo.

are your kids having SA2 in their schools.

My daughter just had her chinese orals. A scene in the kitchen. Said " mummy i did very good. But i did not know how to say kitchen cuboard in chinese and teacher said it is ok"

he he he…she is having her english oral tomorrow. ayah must take time to prepare her. she is bit slow with the picture discussion. reading passage is ok.

No SA2 for my DD but nearly 2 tests for each subject in one semester. sigh. i dont think her school is conducting orals for her level yet... but she is learning orals in her chinese enrichment class.

For english, she just had her show and tell session on Monday. We prepared her over the weekends and she came back saying teacher said good... (hopefully the teacher really meant it haha)... her form teacher feedback to us her last term show and tell wasnt that good so we prepared her for this one.

well, we are all in the same boat.. lets encourage one another

My dd1 also in p1 this yr. I am a sahm. She is in a girls school.Outside school, she has piano, art, swimming and Chinese. I also let her play most days as she is only p1. Girls like to compare, always come back and tell me who and who got this, and that. My boy cannot be bothered with such things at all. She loves art but come to math, a bit tough for her, had some funny moments when teaching her about 'Money"

wow your dd is quite bz girl.

well same story with my daughter when teach her money. sometimes she directly subtract cents from dollars.

had to teach her to convert dollars to cents before she can subtract. some are due to silly careless mistakes.

there was a question which was like \" mary had two 50 cent coins. she bought a candy and got three 20 cent coins as balance. How much did the candy cost?\"

She directly subtract 20 cent from 50 and said that the answer is 30 cent.
she never read slowly that the original amount was two 50 cent.

money in the beginning, two 50 cents = 50 + 50 = 100 cents
balance = three 20 cent coins= 20 + 20 + 20 = 60 cents

cost of candy = total - spent = 100 - 60 = 40 cents..

took her some time to avoid this mistakes..
