What is the usual teacher-student ratio for oversea trips?
-
Usually minimum 2 teachers, one male, one female. So far for dd case, 2 teachers for about 30 students.

Hi, my dd is also studying in RVHS - she is Y1 this year. She changed Chemistry teacher (3rd module) half-way when her ex-chem teacher came in with a teacher who has just graduated. The teacher sat in her class for a few lessons before her ex-chem teacher announced that the new teacher will now take over her chem class. I heard that the new chem teacher took all of the Y1 classes having chem as their 3rd module. Why? The students have already adapted to their ex-chem teacher’s teaching!
My dd has also received the full exemption letter, she wants to go for the overseas trip but it would be her first school trip overseas. Do you think she should go? Her primary school wanted to bring her CL class to Taiwan two years ago but H1N1 came up. -

Your dd should have submitted the form indicating her choice. I suppose it'll be beneficial for them to go. -
No no, I think I don’t think she is. She is currently my dd’s form teacher too. They are going to Seremban in Malaysia, not sure if she can survive through the 5 days >.<

My dd’s going for the trip too. The itinerary looks quite ok, but of cos, I’m also worried as it’s her first trip too.
-
My dd was wowed by the itinerary because there is a cip program to help out at the local orphanage in Seremban.

Everything there is a first time. It is good to go overseas learning trip, as long as not dangerous country. You would be surprised, how independent your child can be, how well they can take care of themselves and take care of others. They really get to see and experience things that they have never tried before. The only thing parents and teachers would worry is, fall sick during the trip.

How many year 1 get full exemption this year?
-
1E has 8, 1J has 1, 1K has 4 and 1L has 5. That’s all I know from what my dd said, some of her friends also gotten full exemption. Quite confused by the system though ever since the addition of A1*.
