      Hi andante,

Just for your info. The answer sheet supplied by Jeremy had no answers for Q16 to Q30 for paper 1 @ CHIJ St Nic 2011 P6 Prelim Maths.
For paper 2, answers for Q3 and Q18 are different from your list.
      Answer given for Paper 2 Q3 -> 2207 and Paper 2 Q18 -> 0954 h

      Paper 2 Q3
Sheela was 25 min late for a movie. She was at the cinema at 8.15 p.m. If the duration of the movie was 137 min, at what time did the movie end?
Leave your answer in the 24-hour clock.

      Paper 2 Q18
A rectangular tank measuring 40 cm by 30 cm by 40 cm was 1/6 filled with water. At 0930 h, Tap X with water flowing out at a rate of 3 l per minute was turned on. AT 0932 h, Tap Y was turned on to drained water out of the tank at a fixed rate. At 0943 h, the tank was 75% filled with water. AT what time would the tank be filled to the brim?

๐Ÿ™ that some KSP members will come and point out the correct answers for these 2 questions. Thks.
      Hi Vanilla Cake,
Thanks for pointing out the discrepacies in answers. Will check out the answer once DD has done this set of paper.

was told by ds that PSLE placed more weightage for languagesโ€ฆ my sonโ€™s weakest subj is Chinese. Is it true and how exactly how will this affect the T score? My sonโ€™s prelim total aggregate is pulled down by his Chinese.

All 4 subjects are of equal weightage, no more, no less.......
but since the mean of MT (chinese) is relatively high as compared to the other 3 subjects....... all these yrs....
a low marks in chinese will def do more harm to the agg t-score.

sigh.... too late to do anything now. What difference can he make in his chinese in just two weeks? His marks in math and Sci are actually higher than the top girl in his school but his Tscore is about 10 marks behind her.

              Hi mummies/daddies,

This Friday, 16/9 is a PSLE LC Examination.

              MT - 9.00 - 9.35 am

              EL - 11.15 - 11.50 am

Yet to know what will be the reporting time (for DD school) as that day only P6 students need to report to school!

That' wish all the P6 DD/DS good luck! :rahrah: :rahrah: :rahrah:

              Hi Brenda,
Thanks for the well wishes. All the best to your DD with her LC on Friday too. :rahrah:

DS sch reporting time is 8am at sch hall.

For my DD1, her school's reporting time is 8.10am and to be seated by 8.45am.

Thank you for sharing! I would think 8.10am is reasonable timing and our children don't need to wake up so early! ๐Ÿ˜„

                  Hi Pen88n,

Think most of the schools will have the reporting time around similar timing. ๐Ÿ˜„

Answer provided for 38c is wrong.

Hi - could I find out what should be the right answer for 38c. My son also put the material as iron. Of course - I find the way the explanation is worded in the model answer a bit wierd.

                    Thanks in advance

                    Hi vidhyalog,

:scratchhead: I'm not sure which is the correct answer. DD's answer for Q38c is steel. Any other parents know the answer to Q38c, Henry Park Science prelim paper? Tks

                      Hi Tinkerbell,

I think steel should be correct as well. As the material repelled object X - it must be a material that can be magnetised. Among metals - steel, iron, nickel and cobalt would be magnetic materials.

Would I be correct in saying that? Any other views?
                      TIA
                      Cheers
