Just want to confirm that this term should have a test or exam right?

Yesterday, my DD told me she got her marks for her Chinese test fr term 3 and she actually forgot to do one page which is Comprehension! :shock: So lose marks for nothing. Thats my DD, a bit scattered brain ...... Also got letter warning not to be late for school...yes, u will get a warning letter if late for more than 4 times ..so now I have to wake up earlier...actually she is not late, but the prefects would book her even if she is on the way to the assembly area already.

Yes, there should be another summative test in Oct.
I was wondering why results of Term 3 were still not known yet...so it's just a matter of time we will see the marks. Thanks for letting me know.

Dd to me that Mrs Tan announced yesterday that the last day of school for the year for IJ is on 11/11/11 (Friday) - I just realised what a nice date 111111 .

My daughter will join CHIJ TP next year. We're planning to go on vacation on Chinese New Year. School holiday for Chinese New Year will be on 23 and 24 January. Can we ask for special permission to have our DD back in school by 26 instead? Past experience will be highly appreciated :thankyou:

I doubt if 'special permission' will be given if it's just for a holiday. They've always emphasized that official school days are necessary for covering the curriculum. They also don't want to set a precedent of parents cutting the term short to go off on holidays (I've been tempted to before!).

I guess you will just have to 'do first and explain later'; two days of missed lessons will probably not be very detrimental, especially at P1. Not that I'm encouraging others to do the same...

I am thinking of taking a holiday right after my daughter finishes her SA2 exam next year...avoiding peak period. Since it's already year end, should be no prob I guess?
