Estimate about average t-score of 201 (for 4 std subject students) for 2010 and 2009 PSLE.
what about Greenridge Primary in Bukit Panjang? -
Hi DS needs to register for P1 in 2013 for 2014 intake. DH is old boy of Poi Ching in Tampines, but we live close to amk, but there isnβt any school within 1km. The closest school are about 2km and the better school is anderson primary. We have no intention to move house.
I am SAHM but am planning to go back to work. Even in the event that I do not work, i do not drive as well. So if DS were to go to Poi Ching, he has to take school bus. I feel that the distance is too far to Poi Ching.
Should we go for Poi Ching or try our luck for anderson ? For anderson does that mean i have to apply for PV for a better chance ? TIA -
mamii:
if u intend to stay on in AMK area, don't think u should send DS to Poi Ching. Really too far for the poor kid. There is balloting for P2B for Anderson this year. You should do more research to assess your chances. Check out the AMK schools thread.Hi DS needs to register for P1 in 2013 for 2014 intake. All the best to you. -
Hi mamii, if you have time, why not do PV at Anderson to increase your chance. In addition, you will also get to know the school better since you serve as PV there.

Hi zeemimi, I find the distance to Poi Ching too far as well and this is why i am looking for alternative.
Hi dorisp, I will consider PV after discussing with DH. I am quite sure he wants Poi Ching, so now thinking how to get him to reconsider. I will also consider other schools in Hougang. -
Hello - this forum is really active - my last posts is at page 40+ and now we are already at page 74.
Just saw the balloting results for P1 for next year and oh dear - even Yangzheng now require balloting too at Phase 2C?
My 2nd and 3rd child qualifies for Phase 2A2 for Yangzheng Primary School and initally I was thinking of trying for Rosyth under Phase 2B (but I dont think I get selected as PV after the 1st interview) - so Im not placing my chips there anymore.
I was looking at CHIJ Toa Payoh (within 1km) - but seem that they dont do PV - only allow PV for parents of existing students. Their balloting under Phase 2C I also seem quite xiong.. and Im worried if I withdraw from YZPS and try for CHIJ TP - if I dont get the place, then I will end up loosing both ends and places.
Dilemma.. should I just stick to YZPS for my gals
this is so stressful... when P1 is still a few years away. -

No harm registering them with YZPS at P2A first, and monitor the situation. -
