All About Choosing and Buying Pianos

Music Elective Programme.
For secondary school entry, one may have "value-added-bonus" if you show potential in certain areas. Eg, RGS has a strong orchestra as well as ensemble so if there’s a strong interest/potential in this area, you may be given "priority" IF academically wise you are not too far off either. So it’s an added bonus. -
Oh I see, so you mean kids can be admitted with a little bit lower points than their official cut-off points, say 263 sth. by adding the talent like piano playing ?
Thanks for your great explanation ! -
IF the school deems the child to be of "added value", I think. Just like sports, if the school’s athletics team is strong and the child is a star athlete, then the child may be a preferred choice compared to another who is not but who may be slightly ahead academically or on-par academically

Do note though that most premier schools do not take in for DSA under music CCA. Maybe under MEP like RGS/RI - but for these, they take in only the award-winners mostly.Music Elective Programme.

Sorry for the off topic…
I have found out it doesnt matter if it’s ABRSM or ANZCA (Australia and New Zealand Cultural Arts) certification. Audition is the most important…
I will let my DD continue with Encore Music Education with ANZCA certification. -

Unless you are talking about SOTA, I think audition is generally not the most important. If applying under music CCA for DSA, it's often the entire portfolio. eg. his achievements in music, awards he/she has garnered. So yes, in a way it's also right. If your child has won prizes at music competitions - what does it matter what examining board he took his exams at, right?Sorry for the off topic....

Not only for SOTA, I have seen for Scholarships into Australian schools for example, a child needs to go for auditions too. Prizes won may not be good enough.... as it depends on which competitions.
Hence, the reason for getting ANZCA is because I like the way the students are tested or graded. -
A quick question.
How come in yesterday’s Yamaha advertisement in Life, a Bosendorfer model was being displayed? Since when did Yamaha buy over Bosendorfer? I thought they only bought over Schimmel. -
Yamaha bought over Bosendorfer about three or four years ago I think.
