oh yes, did any of your kids dress up for the "Be Yourself" Day?


ds1 wanted to be a scientist and we got his white jacket and crazy hair and funky spects all thought out already. and a magnifying glass too (a bit Sherlock Holmes)… but he’s been bringing the donations to school since last week and claims that he didn’t see anybody he could pass the donations to.

the letter says the booth will be set up during recess? any of your kids manage to do so?

because of that (that he didn’t manage to donate), he said it means he can’t dress in his own clothes today, and wore the school uniform. so sad.

a missed opportunity to celebrate and have some fun!

It's very hot and humid today but I enjoyed the atmosphere. Nice meeting almost all of ds1's trs who are manning various booths. Seeing them in casual clothes and mingling with the students makes me feel like it is one big family.

Also, being able to see ds1 call out to his various friends and some of them came over to talk to him and I got to say hi to their parents too... very nice feeling. And one of his friend's mom was manning a games booth and my sons happen to play at the booth. So I got to know her as well and learnt that she has another older son in the school too.

Several other moms, probably all from PSG, were manning very interesting booths too. All very educational, I like. The popular clay/ plasticine making booth is back again. ds2 enjoyed that so much last yr cos the things they make are so cute and beautiful, look like real food and flowers!

The balloon sculpturing again had such a long queue!!! I can't afford to queue cos of bb, so again we missed getting one. I think maybe need to feedback to the school to have more sculpturists and maybe they can make more of the popular sculptures beforehand first so the queue can move faster! Then they can earn more also, right?

I also think I met Champ's dd again. I even took a photo of their performance. haaha. Champs, if your dd looks like you then you should be very sweet and pretty too ya?? kekekeke

(And champs, your dd's classmates were all playing with my ds1 at the CCA booth too, those few you mentioned to me before. :evil:)

saw a lot of alumni too. so KiasuAdult, next year you will return for MAF celeb too?

There is one downside! ds2 found it very fun and asked if his Pr sch will have this too... oops!!! I sure hope there are some good points abt Frontier as well, if not, next yr he might complain and sulk at our decision to let him try another school instead of following ds1.

yup i'll try my best to come back because I want to see Mrs Kwek and my other subject teachers too bad i did not see ur post earlier maybe i could have met you during MAF celebrations

Yes! Finally finished PSLE LC!!! today's LC was really tricky and more tricky than the past years' LC! Hope I will do well!

Got my prelim results today, was quite disapointed with it! I lost to the first by 0.3 mark!!! What a pity! (Note, I am not trying to brag)...

thanks kabalevsky! The first has been my so called "rival" since p1 and it has always been a friendly competition between me and him to motivate one another to do better. I guess both of us do have our own subjects which we excel in.
