Yes! Finally finished PSLE LC!!!
today's LC was really tricky and more tricky than the past years' LC! Hope I will do well! -
Got my prelim results today, was quite disapointed with it! I lost to the first by 0.3 mark!!! What a pity! (Note, I am not trying to brag)...

-
Congrats for being the 2nd best! Thatβs also excellent.
Seems like narrow competition! may you and your friends get great PSLE scores! The prelims are just a practice round! jia you! -
thanks kabalevsky! The first has been my so called "rival" since p1 and it has always been a friendly competition between me and him to motivate one another to do better. I guess both of us do have our own subjects which we excel in.

did you recieve the newsletter today?
-
hi kiasuadult!
i have been MIA for some time, sorry to miss your last post.
PSLE is over! How did you and your friends celebrate?
I happen to be in JP on the last day, with my kids, at around noon time and there were so many kids around 12yo, milling around, mostly very happy and jubilant and some were in NTUC stocking up on snacks, many were queueing at GV for movie tix, and many were in all the many restaurants eating together. so i was reminded, ahhhh, must be PSLE last day!
how was the PSLE for you?
abt the newsletter, yes, i received! and I like it! it's really nice way of bringing the community together (teachers/ parents/ students/ other staff).
my son appeared in it, so of course i will keep it nicely, and i think champion's dd also.
not sure if LKVM's ds is somewhere inside as well? cos i've not met her. looking forward to more such comm betw school and home! -
oh by the way, did many of you and your classmates DSA? and what schools are most of you thinking of choosing?
interested to know, cos i am sure my son will like to be with his friends too, in future. -
hi kabalevsky! where is ur son? just curious. of course on the last day, the whole bunch of us pratically went wild with ecstacy! our teacher even had to remind us not to shout even though our papers are over.
so i went out with my friend after the paper and we did see lot of 12yo children hanging around too at jp! i even went to catch a movie on fri for children's day! Ah! the timing is perfect for us to totally enjoy after psle since it's the last year. as for psle i think it was quite manageable but i hope i dun make any careless mistakes or too less info given :xedfingers:
i did apply for rvhs through dsa but got rejected  -
hey kiasuadult,
i will PM u abt my son.
haha, can imagine how happy u all must be, cos after all the hard work, it is time to have fun finally!
hope you didn't make any careless mistakes and get everything possible correct so you can score really high and get into RVH or whichever dream school you want!
for now, enjoy whatever's left of your remaining days in Pr school and capture as many happy memories as possible!
oh yes, ytd assembly was very fun was it? my son came home humming some tunes and kept making different sounds with his vocal chords and then when i asked him where he learnt all these, he said during assembly, cos some invited guest performed beat boxing?
and oh yes, for other parents with P1 kids, this term's PAL for the P2s is Gym. The external vendor teaches them gymnastics I think. Ds1 talked about forward rolls and stuff. Said it was very fun.
can't believe this is Term 4 already. and soon their P2 year will be over! next year, it's time for him to work much harder as the CAs and SAs will begin. hope he's fortunate to get good teachers like this year!

yes the assembly during monday was one of the most fun assembly i had in my most six years. a hip hop group called built from skratch came to let us know more about hip hop culture. check out the videos of the performance at these links http://www.youtube.com/vjskratch#p/a/u/1/0e1o7Mq2L9E and http://www.youtube.com/vjskratch#p/a/u/2/U0rJbM5D7w0. they were quite entertaining and the one doing the beat boxing was actually a 4 time national champion for beat boxing! and he did mention that he honed his skills from young so maybe ur son is aspiring to be like him?
