      - A little off topic - but could I just check generally if your kids took the UNSW exams this year? Just trying to have a feel of whether kids continued to do so or decided against to focus on PSLE revision. TIA.

Yes, all the kids in my ds school p6 did UNSW.

My Gal Just Brought Back her Report Book Today.

Yeah her sch is the Same as both of your Gals', 100% on Prelim, SA1 not taken into consideration.

        Hi Funx3,

        Thank you for sharing.

This will be good for those who do better in prelim than SA1!

Think the school is deliverd the message to the children that PSLE is another chance if you work hard!

Unfortunately for My Gal, She Does Better at SA1 than Prelim.
But I Told Her As Long as She Does Well in PSLE, the Prelim Does Not Matter. πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰

My dd took all three UNSW in her PSLE year. Why not? There's no need to study nor revise for UNSW. You just show up and sit for the test. And if you do well, it's a boost for self-esteem and good for the portfolio.

            Hi sista,

Is ok as the PSLE is the main focus for all of them.

Like what the teacher say, forget about SA1 and prelim and now everybody ζœΊδΌšεΉ³η‰οΌοΌοΌ :rahrah:

              Hi jtoh,

You're right especially when the principal present the award to those had scored High Distinction and Distinction in Science.

They get very motivated and put even more effort on the subject.

Thanks for the parents who replied my query.
This just one mother's brain working overtime - this year so far my son has got his best results for UNSW so far (with exception of Maths which is not out) - previous years all patchy (only subject he consistently did well was computer skills). So as consistency has always been a issue with my son - I was hoping it would reflect that he has finally decided to be serious for his PSLE year. But there was a nagging doubt if the reason why he was in the top 5% for Science and English - was because the top did not participate - so to speak. Hence the question.

Any way - I am quite proud of his achievement this year - and praying hard he can continue this renewed focus into PSLE - so that he can get the just reward for the hard work he has put.

The results should give your son a good boost of confidence. Anyway, i don't think that your son did well bec the top didn't participate. I'm sure a lot of the top students would have just taken the tests anyway bec like I said, there's no need to prepare or revise for them.

[/quote]I stopped allowing my boy to take these UNSW bc he always just brings back a Cert of Participation. But this year let him take - waste of time again. *sigh*... Again COPs. Shouldn't have bothered.
