Looks like your school is doing the direct opposite subject to ours.Very interesting.

Will your dd chinese filter compre passage from past year paper or just text book?Does she impart techniqe or just get the students to copy the answer.DS school did the latter...sigh...

Hi Leanne

I only can recognize two compre passages are from 2010 prelim papers and the rest of passages are not familiar to me.

She will share with the class the appropriate 成语 or 词语to apply in the particular questions as well as the good model answer that she spotted from some of her students.

Actually the main teacher is more than happy to spend bonding time with the children.All the kids adore her.

For social studies, its cos all the time was taken off during the usual lesson.So, its kind of make up lesson for social studies.

For ds school, social studies is only graded as A , b or c.

Heard from ds, after psle, the chinese social studies is going to take over all the lesson time.Faint...

Nevertheless, think to recap some Singapore History and culture are still good before they move on to Secondary school. FYI, I still keep the Social Study book for P5.

Yes, certainly social studies does help in secondary school.Thanks to the many field trips they had too...if not, for chinese listening compre pertaining to chinatown, they may not think of ancient building as the possible answer.


You mean today last day of supp?For us, still dont know yet.

Is it fixed that for all the PSLE subjects, an A* is 91 and above ?

Or does it fluctuates year to year ?
I'm still puzzled by the stories of kids with 4A* but a t score of only 244.
